For the loved ones of Jared, we can't read things like this due to making us furious. These people have no heart on here. Just because there was an ACCIDENT doesn't mean there HAS to be alcohol involved. There wasn't any at all and yes they were buckled up. This family has lost their son, brother, cousin, friend. The adults that keep bashing on here need to grow up and move on with your life. Get a job, quit being a low life pice of crap!
Praying for Leah to make a full recovery and praying that she makes it through loosing her best friend, her boyfriend.:( She has a long road ahead of her and all I can say is prayers for her are the best right now.
Thanking the Lord for her son and brother to be safe.

For the family and friends of Jared, consider the source of all these negative comments on here. If you could see the people making these ignorant remarks, I'm sure you would see an uneducated loser in each and every one of them. They have nothing better to do than pick on someone who can't be here to defend hiself. I did not know Jared in any way and these comments got to me at first until I stopped to really think about them and who could possibly even think of saying these things. LOSERS, that's what they are. Prayers and thoughts will all who loved Jared and hopes for a full recovery for the others.

Why hasn't channel 10 done a follow-up story about the injured trees? Will they grow back? Were any of them killed? There is such discrimination against God's vegetation.

You are an IDIOT! A young man dies and a young woman is fighting for her life and you're worried about a tree??? You need to get a grip.

My thoughts and prayers to the fmailies of these young people.

Jared was a great young man! Respectful and responsible. He will be missed by all that knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
The hills on TWP Rd 77 are DANGEROUS!! Even the township trustees have been made aware of it. Yet - nothing has been done to date.
The traffic from Candlewood Lake has been pretty much re-routed because the bridge on TWP Rd 76 has never been fixed. Therefore, anyone leaving the far gate that used to take 59 to 76 to get to Mount Gilead - now takes 77. So the traffic on 77 has increased significantly.
There is one hill in particular that you cannot see traffic coming from the other direction. For some insane reason - many drivers choose to not only take it at excessive speed - but also in the middle of the road. I've almost been hit NUMEROUS times due to it. Yet, I cannot avoid the road because I reside on it. There were children almost hit while trying to board a school bus on one of the hills. Even after the tragic accident with Jared - there are still loads of vehicles going at excessive speed and driving down the middle of the road. I've witnessed it personally.
The road needs the speed limit lowered to 35mph. It needs painted lines down the middle of the road to encourage people to stay on their own side. It needs speed bumps placed on each side of at least the hill where Jared lost his life. And law enforcement needs to start MONITORING the speed and right of ways. If this is not done - it is a guarantee that more lives are going to be lost. And it will be on the heads of Morrow County Officials who refuse to take action on correcting it.
It's just a real shame that there has already been a young life lost. How many more does there have to be before someone actually LISTENS and DOES SOMETHING about it??!!!
Again - thoughts and prayers for Jared's family and friends. I am really sorry about your loss.

Concerned I must say that you are pathetic and I hope you feel the pain we do one day. Someone very close to you is going to pass away and someone is going to be a heartless prick like you have been. If you have nothing nice to say keep your mouth shut.

Don't drink and drive! I'm glad the 3 year old is okay! Very sad.
I was the driver in this crash. The "3 year old" is my son Keaton and Jared's little buddy. I did everything in my power to get us out if the way of the speeding car hurling towards us in my lane. No one in my car had even the slightest drop of alcohol. I, the driver, wore my seat belt. Jared, the front passenger and also the deceased, wore his seat belt. Keaton, rear driverside passenger, was restrained in his safety car seat. Kelly, rear passenger side, was not wearing his seatbelt, however this actually worked to his advantage because he was thrown to the opposite side of the car just enough to not be crushed by the car frame and trees. Although Kelly was not wearing his belt during the accident he did buckle it before the car left the driveway that afternoon. I completely understand everyone's strong feelings about this accident and beliefs on alcohol consumption and safety restraints. Not every accident happens because of alcohol, and not every death is caused by not using safety harnesses properly. One driver's decision can however change the lives of many. Thank you to all who have prayed for me and friends and family of anyone involved.

"Concerned" obviously has sociopathic issues, as s/he is not one bit concerned by the loss of a precious human life. Nobody cares about the thoughts of the other jerks on here.

We people with souls and hearts are praying for the families and friends who lost their loved one, and for the recovery of Leah and the other 2 passengers as well. God be with you and I am very sorry for your loss, and that is sincere.
