enough is enough why get the residents involved. you people ought to be ashamed of the things you are doing. Carla why do you still work here if it is so bad. Becky if it is so bad why did you not take your mother out of here? This nursing home is the residents home. The mold is gone and residents rooms are all clean. You people need to let it go. Did you ever think that these residents smoke and their cough could be from that. This is not a prison and we do not make the residents stay here but the staff here are very caring. The facility did what they were suppose to and corrected the problem. All you ex employees worry about yourself and not the residents because they are very well taken care of.

how many walls where redone because of the black mold ......you all know you didnt correct the problem bleaching walls down and repainting is not correcting the problem....and why didnt you all talk on camera instead of looking out doors and windows....if there is nothing to hide then let the cameras come in and see then all this will be over...Carla is doing nothing wrong she is looking out for the residents that is left there someone needed to step up and say something..you would think the Families would of been contacted at least ...

RESIDENT`S HAVE RIGHT`S THIS PLACE IS TO BE THEIR HOME--AND I WAS ASKED TO HELP!!!!

And that is all I did. And with all of these responses on here, I can see nothing would have been done, if I had come forward, because everyone is worried about your jobs, and not these residents health or your own health. The way it looks is the only way is to hopefully have all the families remove their family member into a safe facility that actually cares, not superficially--Which probably would have happened but no families were made aware to make that decision, when the BLACK MOLD was found. That is one reason the residents are there and the other being some of the residents have no family left.
If you don`t understand I am sorry, just because I made this more public doesn`t give any of you the right to see the residents health as being such a little issue, some of them only have the air in the building to breathe, and that air now is CONTAMINTED WITH MOLD!!!
All I expected was the cleanup to be done professionally, And of course a list of all the rooms you cleaned would help, but that wasn`t made a issue, since every room was cleaned for mold. So it wasnt a minimal 7 or 12 rooms it was many more.

SINCE some of you refer to me in your posts, if I post anything its in my own name, so please do the same.

Yes I did, but never for hours on end, like you who has to hide say`s.
And before I knew the DANGER`S of the MOLD.

All you are doing is showing that there are some lo-quality,(non)caring workers, that are employed there!!

What a lowly thing to do to pick on a tiny soul, and I have done no harm, but you and others on here slander and threaten.

Why don`t you ask the families, who were never notified, what their opinions are??

I am not currently, nor have I ever been, employed by Galesburg Terrace. I am a nurse who works in long-term care. My opinion, not that it really matters, is that you should all grow up! There clearly was a problem, which sounds as if not only in the nursing home but also in the neighborhood, it was reported to the correct authorities, investigated, and corrected. Let it go! Stop attacking each other and truely think about and take of the residents who deserve your love and caring.

there is nothing done for me the one who live behind the nursing home all of my medicals and med are coming out of my pocket . nation-wide insurance is a joke and surprisingly the man who is and charge of the area of qca and galesburg lives right in rock island . all i want is to get this mold off my skin and out of my lungs and never be lied to again from a landlord people should have the right to report a problem on the internet about bad landlords . im really surised that knox county wont come and investagate my house , but they tell me they have nothing to do with mold . then who does ? someone needs to put hard laws that work on landlord

I have previously worked for Galesburg Terrace, and while I can say it isn't the best place, I can also say it isn't the worst. I believe if more nursing homes were checked for mold, it would be found. The last nursing home I worked at had boarded up windows, and smelled like mildew when everyday when you walked in. It almost seems as if News Channel 8 has some personal vendetta towards Galesburg Terrace.

Carla, your a wonderful nurse, you always have been. Out of everyone in that entire facility, you were the one who cared the most! Let these people talk bad, they will have to face their maker one day, and I hope they can explain why they lied and didn't take care of and stand up for the elderly. You did the best you could, and I commend you for that. These people all loved you and talked great about you up to the day that you ADMITTED to taking the pictures, at a residents request. He ASKED you to do this. You had the most seniority out of all the floor nurses, the one who always fixed all the errors. They depended on you to come in on your days off to do the paperwork they were all too lazy to touch. That paperwork being the medication administration records. They had you do it because you were so thorough. Those of us that know the truth will always look up to you for being such an amazing and strong woman, and for those that are slamming, to hell with them. Karma to all those that are a part of this character assassination.
