Not much has changed at Arthur Bryant's

Yes a lot has cahnged at arthur Bryants,once the place was sold it was not only sold but the family sold out.that place was intended for the black community many years ago until it was sold now you only see white people at the door they have taken over the place.Most hotels do not steer their coustomers to Gates they send them to arthur bryants,drive by there at any given time and you will see nothing but white people standing in line.I bet Arthur is turning over in his grave knowing that his place is not serving the black community like it was supposed to.The ribs are done differntly only to sastify the white taste buds. Go to gates you will get a different taste.Yes a lot of white people go to gates,but Gates did not change their menue to accomadate them.Hey when the white people stop comming,and you know all its going to take one violent incindent to happen in the area and they will get scared and stop comming.What are you going to do then,Change the menu and invite the blck community back?Well I cant speak for everyone but i wont be back.

j-dog....EVERY TIME you post no matter what the subject you turn it in to a raseist remark..for your info white people packed bryant,s every time the k.c. athletics played at the old ball park the place was packed with black and white people.i didnt know mr bryant but i would think he would be proud of his family for there contueing success with the business he left them.when he started that bisness that area was very mixed in color,granted not very many places liked to serve both blacks or whites he did and his comunity efferts should be aplauded , plese excuse my spelling,as i to am a product of the k.c. school board...lmao

hey fed up you need to stop,I can have my own opinon wether its right or wrong thats what i think and i have a right to that.I notice everytime some one has a point you try to make them look stupid,well fed up you should take a look in the mirror because thats the way you are looking to by your comments and your spelling.Sure the old ball park was filled with black and whites but now tell me where were the blacks allowed to sit, not down front.It was a black establishment and as usual and as good as it was some white man was waiting in the wings to take it over.Do your home work and find out who owns the place now!!!!Oh by the way isee that you are a product of the school board now, I see why they are so jacked up.and also tell me why the owners had the monarchs dress up in grass skirts and run around the field like natives,did you know about that,You think about who was sitting in the stands laughing at them.AS a african american I could not go to the same establishment and eat with you after sitting up top and useing seperate bathrooms,buying food at different counters and watching you laugh at the monarchs. There might be a lot of history that you dont know about, or you just dont get the point

P.S. I've never liked their food anyways- even the location off of 19th st- in the hood.

I like Smoke House.

I like their slaw, their fries, their ribs, their turkey, beef & ham, their baked beans, etc.

I was just at Gates on Brooklyn yesterday. So was Mayor Funkhouser. Turkey on bun on bread and some BB's suited me just fine.
