This morning I saw that the Gainesville Daily Register was charging $1.00 for their "special" Thanksgiving addition. The sign said "more ads than any local paper, to save you money". Since these advertisers pay GDR to run ads, shouldn't the paper have cost less, rather than more? There was no additional content to the paper, just more inserts. GDR is screwing the public under the premise of saving them money. Judging by the amount of PAID inserts in todays GDR, it was more than paid for by advertisers and should have been free to us. In these trying financial times GDR is trying to double-dip, and screw the buying public with the promise of saving you money. Shame on you GDR, shame on you!
