Commentary: How much government can we afford?
January 29, 2011 4:18 p.m. Norton's other thoughts Norton Native Intelligence is fully supportive of SPLOSTs as funding mechanisms; it's the accountability and stewardship of the expenditures that gives us concern.

Well let's post an article from Mr. Frank just a year ago... it ended with this qoute "We can rebuild it better, stronger, faster than before," Norton said. "Whether its your business, your community infrastructure or your personal portfolio, with hard work, reinvention or tenacity of the human spirit, we can build it bigger, better, stronger, faster than before" January 24, 2010.
So one year ago, Mr. Frank Jr., in the midst of a ecomomic crisis that has remained, said we should build and build bigger than before. And he was speaking of government as well as individuals and business.
Now he rails government for enforcing laws and ordinaces that he himself has supported and complained about not being enforced in the past.
Sure he had to file three permits to hold a party on his lawn. In a combined residential/commercial area. This is ato protect the individuals at the party and around it who are not "special" enough to be invited to a Frank Norton Jr. party. To insure he was aware of the noise and time restraints when loud noises disturb your neighbors. To make sure that Mr. Frank Jr. didn't try to cut corners and save money by erecting a tent to small or improperly set that it would create a hazard for the attending guest. Things like fires and such that happen when you put large space heaters that burn fuel in a tent. Little things that keep us alive.
And lets not forget that the Norton family is the family that had the government pay for a traffic light for the driveway to their business, then has the gall to complain about government spending and private business doing things for themselves.
And Mr. Frank Jr's comment that the police and fire trucks respond with two many vehicles "when one would do" is about as ignorant as any statement I've ever heard. When people call 911 and say there is a wreck and someone is hurt, the police and fire MUST respond as if it is someone who is in need. Mainly because the police can't render medical aid, and the fire department can't fill out the ever important accident report. Because as soon as Mr. Frank Jr or one of his Norton crowd are in an accident and only one police officer responds and they must wait on an ambulance or fire fighter, the next week you can be sure that Frank Jr will be complaining that the public safety community isn't doing what they are paid for.
Mr. Norton is the kind of person who would seem to complain about getting a ticket from the police for speeding or something minor, as if they were targeting the citizens, then he would complain later when he saw someone do the same thing and not get a ticket.
The kind of person who demands that we reduce fire response to calls until it's his business alarm that goes off and one small truck responds to make sure they don't need more. Frank Jr is an idiot. He has made his living on the name and back of his father, while never being his own man. He is inconsistant and hypocritical. He speaks out of both sides of his mouth and lets his petty mood changes prompt articles like this one.
