Remember that Lake Lanier did not exist until the early 50's so I would think not a good location. But the Chestatee River and Chatt. River flow into the Lake and they were here then. Lake Alltoona (Cobb County/Cherokee County) is a great place as it was an impoundment during the indian days. Many people go there,(hunting for arrowheads and pottery pieces), when the Corps lowers the water during the winter months in order to accept the water that falls during the winter. Otherwise any creek or stream that was inexistence during the indian days would be possibilities. Try to stay off of private property and out of heavy tourist traps (Helen).
Good luck !!

Thank you...What about places near Wahoo River and the Little River. I live very close to these. I also heard about Glade Shoals Creek...any more info would be good. My concern is being able to legally walk these areas?
sorry

When Lake Lanier is way down I've found many arrowheads. The erosion along the shore unearths them.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Cancer

Mercury turning retro is offering you the chance to make sweeping and long-lasting changes to your life, and to clear the ground for some fertile growth in 2010. Lawyers and legal matters, debates, contract negotiations, partnership or other alliances, and joint ventures of any kind need attention. As a Cancerian you don't like endings, but you must now bring an end to any situation or relationship that is holding you back or has passed its sell-by date. Look forward, not back, if you want a glittering future.
