Well it seems like The Tom Oliver Machine has done its job of damage control and swept this potential scandal under the rug. The Times seems to have proved their typical ineffectiveness with their unwillingness to thoroughly investigate this story. No surprise to northeast Georgians there, eh? The Times has never been a serious work of journalism anyhow. The DA Lee Darragh washed his hands of the matter by turning it over to the GBI. Darragh certainly looks to be a nutless wimp in this matter. Who is the woman whose intangling involvement could be a serious piece to the corrupt puzzle? What was her role? Was it sexual? These questions may never be answered for the public.

Does any of this surprise any of you local readers? Not me! How much more corruption will we tolerate in Hall County government? Will Hall County voters show these crooked incumbent the door?

Why can't the Comm. ask all tax payers and any money paid unto the county to be rounded up to the next dollar. It seems to bring a large amount to the Electric Company and I don't think very many people would mind doing this and maybe we could get enough to keep some of our parks and fire Dept.
