The smart postal employees saw this coming made a career change years ago.
I have a friend who quit her postal job and became a RN. What a smart woman she is.

How can so many postal employees be so clueless?

I get all of my bills and pay them online. I email, text, and Skype all over the world at no cost. I can even play chess on Ipads with my mom and have a conversation at the same time and she's in Switzerland. I use FedEx and UPS most 99% of the time.
haven't used a stamp in years.

Email is over-rated "AAMech" and registered nurses are no better off than postal employees when it comes to getting laid off. Have you ever asked yourself how much of that money is being donated to the Republican Party when it comes to doing business with FedEx and UPS?

Email serves my needs. Haven't mailed anything in years. I think an RN is better off when laid off. Nursing skills can put you anywhere......there's only one postal service.
She's still working with no problem. She also didn't have a lot of kids either.
Three of my sisters are nurses.
Don't care about the politics. I've owned 700 shares of FedEx stock since I bought at about $3.40/share in the 80s. I knew what was coming especially when Amazon.com started.
