why does everything put on here about jim brown, and anything about how the tax payers are paying for a teacher that dont teach.everyone should be more interested in how things are run in this county.there has never been a athletic director at jchs, like one of the other posts said it was created for him, otherwise he wouldnt have time to coach the girls at the middle school,if he is such a great coach and dont teach a class anywhere why dont he coach boys basketball to,i can tell you why,the talent just is not there, thats why i hate it when he gets so much of the credit, jackson co. has had great talent period,is why they win not because he is a super coach

i'm so wrong again he's a great coach and works very hard and the ambulance service isn't reserved for his team and he coaches both jr, high, high school and athletic director over all other sports alone with overseeing the gyms and assisting teachers and coaches in a 8 hr, day how can he do anything else.

what we really need here is a trainer, at least part time, but I'm sure it's not in the budget.

why do we need a trainer, really? They didn't have one for yrs and they done alright. That is just another way to create a position for friends or family. EMS is very qualified to take care of any injuries that the sports team may have.

But isn't part of a trainer's job to PREVENT injuries? I'm sure EMS workers are quite capable, but would it not be better for the kids to have someone there working to prevent the ones that could be prevented? As for creating positions, isn't that exactly what was down for Jim Brown?

You people talk like he just walked in after college, never taught an actual class and jumped on a gravy train. He did teach, I was a student of his. Let's just see how everyone likes it when he's gone. Like it or not, those are some big shoes to fill and I'm betting not many are gonna want to try. Not in this town anyway.

sounds like thats another position they could make for another teacher that dont want to teach (teachers assistant)since when do they need assisting, and overseeing the gym, thats bull what are they to oversee its not like he has to clean them.they have never had a athletic director and dont need one now.that is a poor attempt to explain what he does all day,how stupid.

Sounds like someone is probably upset cause Coach Jim Brown didn't pick their daughter to be on his team. You have to have some talent to be on his team. Not everyone may like him but he's the best coach around. He devotes alot of time to those girls. He coaches 5th-12th grade. That is why Jackson Co. has such a great record. There are other good coaches around but he is the girls same coach all the way through school. All others schools have a Jr. High coach and a High School coach. Give the man credit-he deserves it!!!

You can not always prevent injuries. The coaches also know how to prepare a team/player for any and all exercises. Forgive if I am wrong, but isn't that the reason for stretching before the games, to help prevent injuries? I played sports and am a parent of children that played, I never had a trainer nor did they, but I knew how to help protect them and myself
to the best of my abilities, without sitting on the bench. You have gotta take a chance on anything you do.

No, I don't think that anyone is upset because their daughter didn't get icked to be on his team! I had more than one daughter play for him. So I geel I am in an potentially un-biased position here. What I and I think others are interestered to know is WHY, can you go on this site and make horrible terrible accusations about even 15 year old girls and that o.k., its acceptable in the eyes of the mnitors. BUT, a mention of Coach Brown and recruiting practices or truthful mentions of other Jim Brown wrong-doings will be IMMEDIATELY deleted????????? Who has their finger on the button is what I want to know. Is it Jim? Buddy? or some sad soul who still really thinks that Our High School Athletic director actually cares about the kids of our county? THINK ABOUT IT, better yet give it a try. Make up a pretend name of some 13 year old child and say something horrible. Then repeat a rumor about Jim 40 year old jim Browm and see which one gets deleted!!! Someone has there prioroties in the wrong place, MR. or Ms. Monitor WAKE UP!

Its true, I've witnessed it. Whoever the monitors are they need to surrender there button to someone with some intigrity and less loyalty to the Brown family.

That just means someone made a request for it to be taken off. If you have a problem with a post then get it removed instead of coming up with stupid Jim Brown conspiracy theories.

Remember what the Jackson County basketball program was like before Coach Brown got there?
You REALLY want that instead of the top flight state championship program you have now?
That's what it will be like again if he's gone.

Be careful what you wish for and thank your lucky stars you have something you can be proud of!

Leave him the hell alone. Jackson County needs everything positive it can get.

the people in the know apreciate Jim and the job he has done, the administation is behind him and a few soreheads using multible names on topix is not going to change that.Only his preformance would do that and for right now its excellant.

O.K. so policy maker has the control button. Then please pay attention to mean, unnessary, hurtful and even damageing comments about children on this site. And stop worring about conversation about Coach Jim Brown, hes an adult he can take care of himself.
