Helens (going towards interstate on the left) is good for home cooking. Giovannis (past the square on the right) is also fairly good. Of course there's Dairy Queen and Subway. If you're looking for a sit down chain, you'll have to go to Cookeville, where there are a ton.

I'd go for Helen's personally.

This town has lots of good food! Usually Town Diner has great eats; have you tried the fried catfish? Best in town! If you have a problem with the food or preparation, tell them, they will fix it!

I've lived in Gainesboro for several years now. Have tried the eaterys you all speak of. The food is average at best. Service is questionable. Prices, so so. I do not eat in Gainesboro. If I am going to spend my hard earned money to eat you, I will go to Cookeville. Then your choices are mainly corporate restaurants that basically everyone has the same stuff on their menus.
My way to solve this is go to the store, buy what you want to cook, then go home and cook. I absolutely love to cook. I am a preofessional cook, guess that is why I am a hard critic of others.

If you don't like eating somewhere, don't go there. No need to bash basically every restaurant in Gainesboro. The people who own them? There money is hard earned, too.

You don't have to spend your hard-earned money to eat me! Ir you are a preofessional cook why aren't you cooking for one of the places you are mentioning? I am a damned good cook too, but I don't waste my time bitching about how much better I am than the others around me.
