She has done quite well since this went public. It just goes to show that if you get the gay community behind you anything is possible. Now she can shake the dust of that dirty little hate filled town off her clothes and live among friends and others like her (like me)!

Maybe she won't waste the money on cars and the like.Let Oprah or Rosie O'Donnell buy her one and she can spend the settlement for college.

what a stupid remark. what did she expect when she is a lesbian in a non lesbian school sponsored prom???? why did she have to come out and tell all - no one cares, and she is pitiful. wonder if she will be so proud of her childish decisions when she is an adult? wHEN SCHOOL DISTRICTS are already in financial woes, where is the concern of the ACLU? I say, go to hell ACLU - like today...Please get decent jobs and quit pulling off the titty of america!

So what about her classmates who lost their prom? Is the school district going to give them some cash too for their suffering? They were humiliated as much as she was.

Kudos to Constance, for standing up to an injustice that is far too common in this country. She was deprived of something most of us take gor granted-to go to her prom with the person of her choice. I'm glad she won her case, tho no amount of money can take the place of being able to go to her prom the way she wanted. We as a nation-indeed, as a people-must learn acceptance. BTW, I am a 60yr old man who is heterosexual.

As a gay native Mississippian, I am really glad this went down like it did. Hard to believe adults could act like such children.

Suck money from the school system and taxpayers. Screw the ACLU. I'm tired of everybody wanting "equal" rights when in fact they are "special" rights.

Go away now girl!

you know I blame the adults in this, teach your child to let people be who they are, gay, black/white,handicap, what ever & you should accept it and move on. Do'nt worry about what other people are doing so much.People cannot change other people let them be.ACCEPT IT AND BE NICE TO EVERYONE!!!

She is so smug. Sad to be forced by the government to reward wickedness. I thank God for those who did try to make a stand against her. I wish the community would shun her. She has a hard life ahead of her, It's not easy to rebel against the Laws of God as revealed in Scripture.
