Administrator fired in wake of nursing home problems

When a nursing home administrator doesn't monitor departments, department heads or the facility to make sure even the most basic and important state and federal requirements are being met and complied with, this is the headline that so often follows.

Not always though.Sometimes it's a matter of it being so much cheaper to keep a low paid administrator than to hire any other one. Some administrators are relatives of the owners or have some other kind of special and close relationship. An owner might not want to fire someone who has knowledge of bad or illegal business practices either. There can be a lot of reasons including that the owner may not care at all as long as the doors remain open and the money keeps coming.
