Is it just me or is it time to find a football coach,to make the tigers enjoyable to watch. Not real sure they could beat themselves.

We need a new coach!!! I doubt the Tigers will win one game this year. I won't go and watch these games anymore, it is pathetic!

I think the head coach should just resign and let the assistant coaches take over.

I remember not so many years ago, we had a great football team that the whole town supported, too bad that is not the case anymore.

Things have gone downhill ever since BC quit being the Head Coach. The championship teams that he coached though had much more talent than the kids Coach Epps has to work with though

I think they should eliminate the high school football program and replace it with a scholastic team. Put learning higher than playing a game.

He didnt always have the best talent,he knew where he needed them to play.Move them to positions to win games not do want you want and play where and when you want.

It might not be all Coach Epps fault, there is not much talent and not much size. He should be getting more help from his assistants, they have all played on championship teams and should know what to do to win a game.

I have been to some of the games, it is not that the team does not have any size, it is the fact that the team does not have any "heart".

Wonder what will happen this Friday night at Homecoming?

It sounds like the parents are taking football more seriously than the students. Maybe the kids are more interested in more scholastic things instead of playing games? They may want to leave this town with some brains instead of half a brain damaged by a tackle. ;D

the problem started when epps arrived as head coach. he rode the wave of the seniors who had been coached by bc. the juniors did ok. the sophmores and freshmen were ignored. those sophomores graduated last year, and half of them got kicked off for drinking.....how important was football to them when they blatantly broke the rules? now those freshmen are seniors, have zero respect for a man who doesn't listen, doesn't follow through on promises, doesn't have time for the parents, hasn't looked down the road and developed a GOOD structured weight program (that class has always been small....give them some strength, and see if they can at least maintain their dignity during the games). there are several kids who should/could be playing, who do have talent, but the program is a big joke, so they aren't even on the team at all. other towns have great weight programs, and if they don't have the size they've got the strength. give the kids a break. they do what they can. now we've got a lot out with injuries......stronger bodies = fewer injuries.
now epps is trying to pay attention to the freshmen and 8th graders (and sucks up to their parents), trying to keep his job. he took a good program and ran it into the ground.
after all of this, the kids just don't care anymore. "believing" you can win just doesn't get you there!

Study after study have shown that High School sports do more for a child when they get into the workforce in terms of teamwork and leadership, than any other things. You can not teach teamwork and leadership in a classroom it has to be learned on a field or in some other hands on learning experience.

I would guess you never played sports, hence why you do not play well with others.

Someone will be a winner Friday night, this game could last until midnight waiting for someone to score! This is probably FS only chance to win this year in football, hope they make the best of it.

I take it you are one of the parents that force his kids to play football with the false theory that kids grow from the experience of playing the game. You are probably the same one that runs a "fantasy" team in the off season and think you are doing something big when your "fantasy" comes true. Bah, get a life.
