That's GREAT news. Now, these swindlers can crowd up EVERY street corner in GJT and get their tax-free earnings all year around. This is going to be great for the City. All those bags of clothes and bottles of yellow liquid laying at each corner. But, best of all, the liquor stores and drug dealers will profit from the added dollars these fine citizens will collect from the extra hours they spend un restricted from earning tax free income in CASH. Great job City Council. S U C K E R S... I have a buddy whom panhandles and he makes from $200-$450.00 a day 6-days a week. He works 6hrs each day and then goes home to his loft downtown.Truth! http://www.9news.com/news/local/article.aspx... GJ should make it a crime for citizens to give panhandlers money. Keep giving homeless/drug meth addicts money and it is a positive reward to return. Arrest the money givers and just see how fast people will stop donating thier loose change. |

Agreed. We all suffer due to liberal losers who feel sorry for the innocent drug/alcohol addicts. Giving them money equates to washing away the donors' sins. If you morons want to feel like you need to help the needy to get to heaven or cleanse your souls, give to a charity.

The poor, particularly widows and orphans, and the sick and disabled, are generally regarded as the proper objects of charity. Some groups regard charity as being properly directed toward other members of their group. Although giving to those nearly connected to oneself is sometimes called charity -- as in the saying "Charity begins at home" -- normally charity denotes giving to those not related, with filial piety and like terms for supporting one's family and friends. Please....Do you think giving you money to someone standing at the end of a drive way to a supermarket or oterh location panhandling will be used for "beggers" general health. If you want to give, then give to a local charitable institution tasked to carry out the labor of assisting the poor or needy. These include orphanages, food banks, religious orders dedicated to care of the poor, hospitals, organizations that visit the homebound (Meal on Wheels) and imprisoned, and many others. Institutions can also attempt to more effectively sort out the actually needy from those who fraudulently claim charity. Those that need money, clothing, food, shelter can find it through those agencies in your community, but please don't lecture me on "Charity begins in the Home" if that was true we would not have starving children in AMerica. Instead we have agencies feeding third world countries. |
