Yeah, I hit that. My Cooper Weathermasters only belched when they went through it. Great tire.

I usually go that way to work at just about that time, but for some reason I had the urge to take another route. Good thing I did!

And how long have most of us lived in this area? That area has flooded for at least the nearly 30 years that I have been driving now... hmmmmm... must be spring. We have forgotten how to drive on wet roads now!

The drivers caused the accident.
The water may have been a factor but the drivers should have the skill to deal with it.

You were right to do what you did. My nephew was in that accident. He wasn't hurt but they did take a few others to the hospital.
I was wondering when they put those signs up for 'water over the road'? My son was on his way to Mcc going North on 31 about 10am this morning and didn't see the water because of the car in front of him changing lanes and he hydroplaned into the cement barrier. He kept control of the car and wasn't hurt but did about 2 grand worth of damage. Took over an hour for the cops to get there.
Then to have my nephew coming home from college and get into that accident in the SB lanes in the same spot because of water over the road is too ironic.

Slow DOWN, you won't have the problem.

I drove this route last afternoon - not only was water puddled on the south bound lane, but water was being thrown over from the north bound lane. That was my first clue to slow down, but I still hit the puddle going south around 60mph. My suggestion is to get better drain along that corridor - snow, water and ice always seem to pile up in that particular area of US-31.
