I know someone, a fine, upstanding Fruitport Citizen, that recently contacted the Fruitport Police to file a complaint against someone stealing checks from him, forging his name and cashing them all around town. This complaint was neither taken seriously, dealt with in a timely manner, and was "brushed off" totally by the Police/Prosecuter. In my opinion, Fruitport has shown it's "true colors" and suggest that anyone looking to commit fraud, forgery, or any other felonies, consider moving to Fruitport...they will do nothing!!!

ok.... He is in a Illinois jail right.... Is it not Fruitport's fault that you moved to a house which is 20 mins away from a jail... And.. if he is in jail.. problem solved right??

It seems like the crooks have more rights than the people of whom they steal from. The government is not supportive enough of the people who are victimized.
The crooks get away with it and more often they are not punished for thier crimes it's almost a joke to them.
The owner who knows ends up complaining but not much to do about it, when you complain to the police.
God knows and his eyes see everything day and night in each town and he can not be fooled. They will have their day unless they repent and give back what they stolen to all the people they have hurt.
Even the grinch with his cold heart learned to love and give back to the children their chirstmas presents. How cold hearted are you? 1 Corithian ch 13

WOW!! I am not the only one who thinks this about Fruitport Police. I had an ATV valued at over $5000 stolen back in December. It seems to have been brushed off, as if it were an insurance scam. The funny thing is, is that I did not even have insurance on it. NOTICE TO CROOKS: NEED A VEHICLE? COME ON OVER TO FRUITPORT IT WOULDN"T BE LOOKED FOR UNTIL U WERE LONG GONE WITH IT!!!

Ok what would you like the police to do about your atv that was stolen.... First of all do you have any idea who may have stole the atv or when it happened..If it happened over night, then what the hell do you think the police could do..Track the person who stole by smell?? I mean come on man this is not CSI and you are not the only person that lives in Fruitport that needs Police, there is about 18,000 people in the township the need the small 20 man department... Obviously youíre the dumb ass who did not put insurance on it so therefore your pissed because you can't get a new one...good job man, way to think that one through...Your atv was long gone before you even picked the phone up to dial 911...If you donít like the police in Fruitport then move the hell out...

I think Fruitport does a great job! They can only do so much when it comes to crime. Think if they had no police!!! If you have an ATV taken, well too darn bad. You should have locked it up or had insurance like most people. You think that people dont steal ATV's from other areas? Call another department and ask how many ATVs they recovered. Its too bad that idots like you only look at the negative things of a job you would never be able to do! They work very hard to help people and put their life in the line for you! Think about it, You may hate them, but in the second you need help you are the first to call them and ask for it!

First, who said anything about HATE? Definitely didn't come from the comment I made! The FPD had 3 main suspects as far as the stolen ATV goes and for some unknown reason they would NOT obtain a search warrrant. I'm sure it's sitting on Sternberg Road among the 25 acres one of the suspects lives on. Who knows, maybe by now someone may have broken a bone or knocked some of their teeth out while on it :-). Crime is crime; regardless if its a dope dealer on the corner or YOUR kid stealing some candy at the store. If I were related to or "in" with the FPD in some kind of way you can bet the ATV would've been recovered long ago!

yeah. what can you do, i think some of the police in fruitport are great people, jason, bresna. but christenson.and the two other detective's have there head so far up the golden toilet bowl asses that they couldn't actually do the right work if they were asked to. they make up a motive and if it really, really does not even go with the crime, they still go with what they think even though they are completely ass-backwards. some of them just are way too caught up with themselves, like they watch way to much CSI and are on homicide for NY detective. but their not, their a fruitport police officer. and if they want a more glamorous job, then leave this one aside and let someone who is just part of the people in this small time village and is a help to the villager's and that would be great like those two guys!

To uNVme....do you have ANY idea what goes into getting a search warrant?? apparantly not because you think the fruitport police department has the authority to get one...it is a long, drug out process with the D.A., the judge ect....ok, you have three possible suspects...woopy doo....you need PROBABLE CAUSE to get a search warrant and coming up with three names of people who you believe MAY have done it is not PROBABLE CAUSE...quit watching so much TV and get a clue

for real yo , people with very small I.Q.'s watch tv and try to incorporate it into their daily live's, just to make and to make some sort of drama for themselves. they prob used to watch the "x-files" and think mulder and scully for actually part of some real dept in the FBI. they sure felt safe by knowing if a mutated swamp rat bitten some neighbor's child and mutated the boy into a half human half rat bastard, they'd know who to call !!!
