I am moving from California to Colorado and have yet to attend any festivals in Fruita and surrounding areas. However, I would like to comment on bringing a dog to festivals. Many people in California do this and I find it very cruel for the animal to be dragged around on a leash all day long in the hot sun walking on hot pavement. The dogs view for the day is a bunch of legs and many dogs become very nervous around that many people. I've been told 'my dog won't bite'. You can not be the judge of a dogs mannerism no matter how well it behaves. It is not only better for the dog to stay at home, it is better for the people at the festival. I would hate for a dog to become angry and bite someone. Dogs at festivals should be prohibited.
