What this article doesn't tell you is that both officers noticed she was not wearing a seat belt and they don't know if she was wearing one as she drove away from them but they didn't bother to give her a ticket or tell her to buckel up. I know my daughter if she didn't have a seat belt on and she got pulled over and didn't think to put it on before she was wasted and there is no way they could not have noticed my daughters car always was messy she practacly lived out of that car because she was busy with work, school, athletic events, social These officers did not do their job and my daughter could have been saved, out of all the young people that died in Feb., It is their job and I do blame them if any other person would have not been doing their job and a person died they would be looking a jail, these guys are getting away with it, and the city of Fruita doesn't care. They just don't want bad press. Samantha ann Loy's mother M. Susan Giffin I can't believe this and I will not let it just go away.

I never heard the KKCO reporters say on television that the officers were commenting on her "attractiveness." That fact is absolutely part of the story and to ignore it is to cover up for the police department. To find that fact you have to dig into the printed reports.
