I'm surprised there are no comments yet, Midas has been in business many years here. Maybe because they just do their job right ?
I'm 62 years old, and have always done all my own work, from simple stuff to engine and transmission rebuilds. So, I know how it's done.
This time, I needed a wheel bearing replaced and just didn't have the time to do it myself. I had used Midas for my daughter's brakes about 8 years ago because of their lifetime brake warranty, which she did need and they honored it without a question!
The mechanic, Jesse, and a younger mechanic whose name I didn't get, knew their stuff. They didn't give me any BS and try to up-sell me. And, they performed the repairs EXACTLY correctly. I watched, and would not have done anything differently.(But would have busted a knuckle or two)
Price more than fair, less than Ford dealer
Two hours in the shop, walked in with no appointment
I am very, very happy with this outcome. I will use their services again.

My husband & I broke down and were towed into Midas in Binghamton. First they told us that is was the ignition switch & it would be labor intensive because the air bag had to be deflated & re-inflated, at the time I didn't question it. We were headed to NC to visit on son on leave & breaking down was NOT in my plans. Then it was burnt wires to the starter & the mechanic couldn't really test the starter so "he taped the ends of the terminals" & believed the starter to be bad. Then they still couldn't get our truck to run & needed to trace more wires. After 6 hrs. of being there & them finally admitting to not be able to repair my truck because they didn't have the necessary diagnostic tools, they pushed our truck out into the parking lot & told us we needed to take it to a GM dealer. Our parts prices seemed VERY HIGH to me & being that I work for a GM dealer - I looked them up - MAN WERE WE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. Not to mention - they don't put parts numbers on their invoices so people can figure out how bad they are screwing you. Their Dist. Mgr. never returned my call, after almost a week. I called him back & he did not want to refund any money to me. I wrote the Corporate email, they were suppose to get back to me in 2 days - it was 4 days and it was the same Dist. Mgr. still not wanting to refund me anything. I am going farther - we were taken advantage of and lied to by the mechanics and shop manager and Dist. Mgr., our steering column was taken apart & now will not go back together properly and the rubber boot to the ignition switch was cut apart and is hanging loose - VERY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY. I am not done yet....... They advertise that they can repair any model vehicle and have all the tools needed with trained mechanics - THAT'S CRAP. They work on commission so therefore are willing to screw people over.
