I always thought that Jerry was a really nice guy and that he did honest work. My self and some of my family have used him a couple of times in the past and gave him top dollar for his work.....until now. He worked on my vehicle, got paid over a thousand dollars to do a job that wasn't completed, did half-way and have had to go back to him 3 times for corrections. I've already called other mechanics in the area and have been told that they quote "don't go behind Jerry Roberts because by the time they go in and try to figure out what he's done, try to fix it correctly, then it would end up costing more than it's worth." I've never even heard of a mechanic refusing work, just because it would be too hard to go behind someone else. He was supposed to change the head gaskets, when I got my van back, the o2 sensor wasn't plugged in, the transmission wire was connected, the breather wasn't put back on correctly, there was 5 different screws that wasn't screwed back in, so it rattled like crazy until we discovered the problem. He was supposed to put new brakes on the back, and I told him to call me we needed to get more parts, that I wanted it fixed correctly. What do I get? A pair of brakes put back on that should have had the rotors turned and springs changed. 2 days after getting it back, the back-end sounded like it was about to fall out and the brakes sounded worse than they did before we ever took it.

Beware.....don't know what the problem is up there, but I am not satisfied and am going to tell anyone that will give me a minute to listen. It's a shame that someone has to make a living by performing a half-ass job, not tell the truth about the work and then taking forever to do corrections that should have been done in the beginning. Save your money and go to Daniel Tillman, at least you'll get your money's worth and the job will get done the first time. If I had been smart I would have gotten a contract that listed everything that was supposed to have been done,so I could have taken him to small claims court. I've learned a lesson and won't be so naive in the future. You can't trust folks to always to what they say.

I have been waiting years to say my two-sense about Jerry Roberts. Ten or fifteen years ago, he charged my mother over 1000 dollars to replace her transmission and told her the vehicle would likely never run like it was supposed to because it's such a major component... and I agree. The problem was that she later found out that he never replaced it!! He just tweaked the one she had. I've always thought he was pretty sorry, because he knew her personally and knew that a thousand dollars was very hard to come by for her. He refused to see her, speak to her, return phone calls or anything of that nature. Since then, I've heard several similar stories about him. Daniel Tillman is as good as gold. When I was 16, my car broke down on Main St. in town on Sunday. He happened to drive by and had my car towed to his shop where he fixed it in 2 days. He actually fixed it!! And when we received the bill, he never charged for the tow. On his day off, he took the time to help a family that he knew did not have the money just lying around. When we asked about the charge, he said he wouldn't feel right taking the money when we lived right around the corner. He is honest!! I know, that's unheard of, right? An honest mechanic!! Also, Ray Knox, if he's still around is as good as they come. I just think Daniel has a more professional set up, but they are both good people. Jerry Roberts works on vehicles using only presidential solutions!!

He won't answer my phone calls or look at me when I happen to drive by his shop. My husband has taken our vehicle back to him to show him that what we paid over $1500 was STILL LEAKING!!! He wanted to say that somebody poured oil over it to make it look like that. WHAT?!?!?! Are you kidding me?? I don't have to lie or scheme to get my business done. I paid for a job that WAS NOT done correctly. I won't ever take anything to him ever again and if I can convince anyone else to do the same, I will. I was shocked that he would conduct business the way he has and I certainly didn't know that he would lie and cheat somebody for a dollar. I know now and it won't happen again.

Yea, I thought he was a good man too, that's why we used him as a mechanic. He put a set of strutts on a car, they kept popping out.....took 3 trys before that was ever resolved and it still isn't right. Then had him put work on our other vehicle, he was supposed to put new head gaskets on. I've owned the van for 2 years and it's never sounded this bad. It uses more oil now that it did before we took it to him. We tried to take it back and he had the nerve to say that someone was "pouring" oil on the motor and that's why it looked like that. Are you kidding?!?! I don't have to scheme and cheat to get something done, I paid for a job and that job was never done correctly. I've attempted to take my vehicle to 2 other mechanics in Friendship and both of them told me the same thing. By the time they go in and try to figure out everything that Jerry or that dumbass Brad did, then fix it, it would probably cost more than the van was worth. Both said that they could be rich on doing nothing but correctly Jerry's and Brad's mistakes all week long, but they aren't trying to take advantage of the citizens of our town. Yea, I thought he was a good dude too, until he realized that it was going to cost him some money to fix his mistake. Then his real colors came to light. I'll never go back.
