Federal judge dismisses indictments against Steven Kurtz

A federal judge has dismissed mail and wire fraud indictments against University at Buffalo Professor Steven Kurtz.

So this is typical -harass someone , charge them, make them spend money to defend themselves and then it all gets thrown out-Typical dumb police / DA actions-its as we are back in the days of Hitler living in the states. What hppened to accountability-the Police, courts and the system MUST be made to pay when they are wrong

Thanks werknarly- we have a systenm here that goes berserk first with lots of police with unlimted power, they attack , don't investigate properly, then the news stations grab it, blow the story out of proportion- to get rating so now the DA feels like he HAS to do something, so bullshit charges, months in court and then a dismissal. While I agree that DA and some police need protection the Grand Jury thing should be thrown out. ANY DA can make up a story to get a warrant that sounds convincing to the Grand Jury members ( especially when the person be accused is NOT allowed to be represented by a lawyer) and presto another bullshit case so the DA backis covered. Its a great system but fair it is NOT.Just imagine how much money can be saved let alone the anguish an pain the "innocent" till proven guilty suffer.America the Land of the Fxxxed not the Free.
