Though I feel for the LeDouxs, he (they) are doing a great disservice to their constituents. A spouse is not the officeholder. Never. Not Eleanor Roosevelt, not Hillary Clinton, not Michele Obama.

Mr. Ledoux has not attended a county meeting in months. He is holding on to get his wife in office.

Resign, Mr. Ledoux. Resign now. It's the right thing to do.

The headline looked like it was about the disease, but the article was a campaign/political advertisement for the wife.

I understand his desire to have his wife take over, but I suggest the normal election process be used to determine the office holder. She is a go-getter and would likely win anyway.

It's truly unfortunate circumstances Scotts been delt in life. That being said, I have a hard time understanding why the artical seems like a press release for the endorsment of his wife for his seat on the good-ol-boy Anoka County Board. Any other government employee who could not preform their job discription would be forced to accept disabilty retirement, and would not be carried on the sweet grovernment trough.

Fight the good fight Scott. You don't know me from Adam but I have spoken to you over the years at various boxing matches and in other public places. You were always polite and took the time to share a few words. I hope you are able to fight this disease and wish you nothing but the best.

No one should automatically be disqualified from running for or from being appointed to a public office merely because of whom they are related to. Scott LeDoux stated that he felt that his wife should be appointed to complete his term, not because she is his spouse, but rather that she is the most qualified person for the job. She has taken a special interest in his job through his career in public office and knows what the issues are.

Scott's health is truly unfortunate. I have met his wife and I don't think she is worthy to step in as Scott's replacement. Scott should resign and then let the process take its course...if she wins, she's in...if not, bow out gracefully.

Is this news? Is there nothing better to report? No one cares about former athletes and their health.

Why not? Just because it doesn't interest you doesn't mean others won't find the article interesting.

sometimes , the greatest things are done outside the boxing ring , or outside the
office of county commisioner. Like the time scott came to the hospital with a bunch of small bunnies to see my neice .It was her dying wish to be with all of those bunnies. He is a good man . I can only hope that all of the good things he has done in the past bring him comfort in a uncertain future.best wishes

Isn't amazing that the folks that don't like a person always try to get their cuts in no matter what. Scott has a well documented life of giving back to the community, state, and beyond. That's why so many people are behind him in his struggle with this horrible disease. As for the "mouth" that discounted the Ali event. Scott was ranked as 7th in the world at the time. This was a charity event for Children's Institute for Development Disabilities. It was an exhibition. Scott came away with a contract with Ali to fight for the belt. His next fight was with Spinks and Ali lost. Scott had fought Spinks earlier and many thought he won the fight, but it was called a draw. And finally to the "mouth", when were you ranked 7th in the world at anything? Tiddley Winks maybe.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Pisces

Mercury's retro phase in Capricorn will raise questions in your mind about a friend or loved one during the next two weeks. You might wonder what they're playing at and have to ask them to be straight with you, or you could work hard at overcoming the current problems between you so you're able to enter a much more positive phase in your relationship.
