Quite a story! I knew my most hated veggie in the world had a purpose!

Seriously though, good for her and glad all turned out well. Keep growing the zucchini!

The bear may have had designs on a doggie dinner. I'm glad the lady wasn't killed, or seriously injured. I hope the dog recovers quickly.

Thank goodness it's the time of year when bears are already fattened up for their winter naps, or she and the dogs (and the zucchini) might not have made it!!
They said she did not have anything on her property that would attract bears, but I wonder if she had any birdfeeders -- bears LOVE bird seed. My Dad lives in the Northwoods, and he has to take his feeders down in the late Summer/early Autumn until the bears go into hibernation. They'll come right up onto his porch and eat all the seed (and break the feeders)!!

More proof that the little people don't need guns to defend themselves. Only the police should have them.

I don't believe in the Second Ammendment, but I do believe every citizen should have the right to own a squash.

Think of the poor bear if this crazed woman would have had a gun. And what's she doing living in the bear's habitat anyway? People should be forced to live in the city, not out where bears roam free like it should be.

Bears are people too and should have the same rights we enjoy, except for the 2nd. Ammendment.

That bear is lucky she didn't have a pumkin handy, the headlines would change to "Angry woman attacks bear with pumpking, PETA looking into the issue"

Attention Walmart shopper, all sales of zucchini will be banned as of today. The gubment has found that it is being used for purposes other than intended. Anyone that does not turn it in will receive severe penalties and possible incarceration. Thanks for shopping at Walmart.
