So sorry

Clarksville, TN

#61 Mar 5, 2012
My 2 month old son is buried at Johnston Cemetery on Dan Ridge. We don't live there, but it holds a special place for us. Our plots are next to his. We've spent a lot of time at Broke Leg Falls. Thinking about everyone there and keeping you all in my thoughts.

I have family there as well. just spoke with a family member after trying for 24 hours. The tornado hit the Pomroyton area, Dry ridge, and tar ridge and possum hollow. The only 2 casualties I know of for certain are Beverly Bowman, whose house was lifted off the foundation and moved 300 yards and a Davies woman. that's all the info I have as of now. I do also know that Wendell Back was not killed, he is a relative. His home sustained damage, though. the national Guard is there and they are not allowing anyone in. I hope this helps and my prayers are with all my friends and relatives in Menifee County.
Where is the Dry Ridge located? I know of the others but have never heard of Dry Ridge....

Thank you very much for the update on Lillian, though I'm sorry to hear she's not feeling well. I've also been trying to reach Lillian's brother Paul Downing (lives in Michigan), who I haven't heard from in awhile... also trying to reach another cousin, Patti (Downing) Hunt. Anyone in that family that would like to contact me, I'm on gmail - almsthvn.
Continuing to hold everyone in Menifee and Morgan counties in my prayers.

If it is the same one who lives by the Bowman house he is in the hospital with broken bones and ribs. I know someone that is feeding his animals - quite a few didn't make it.

If there is anyting I can do to help with the animals while he is recovering, we were up to his farm the Thursday before the storm to look at a pygmy goat for my grandson, please let me know.

If anyone knows someone that is homeless, I have a spare bedroom and can accommodate one or two people. The only thing I ask is no drugs or alcohol. I would be more than happy to share my home. You can email [email protected] and God bless everyone!!

God bless you! So good to see people reaching out to help their fellow man. I used to live in Menifee a few yrs back and I have friends & family there. I live in Columbus so offering anyone a spare room isn't gonna help anyone.(Although I certainly would) The best thing I can do is pray & send them things to help them get back on their feet. Your post put a smile on my face. Thank you & may God bless you!!

Does anyone know how bad Tarr Ridge was hit, if at all? I used to live out the ridge towards Job Corps. Any info would be appreciated. Also, anyone know how to get a hold of Tammy Warfield?

Hi, I am Lillian's granddaughter, she had pneumonia and had some heart tests done, she goes back tuesday for more tests, she is home now and much much better. Also, uncle Paul is doing well and still in Michigan. You can reach me at [email protected], I would love to know more about you and how we are related.
Thanks,
Lisa

Dont know Tammy, but Tarr Ridge did suffer some damage, not near the job corps though, more towards the 460 end. I know David and Jenny Ross lost their home. I live on Tarr Ridge and had no damage, it literally jumped all around my home. So sorry for the lives lost, Beverly Bowman was a relative of my sister in law's husband, and such a dear sweet lady, she will be terribly missed!
