Im not mad, I just wish that ppl would relize that these men are firefighters to help ppl and not to get hit on by every thing that opens there legs to anybody. My husband and I have a very trusting marriage, we have no worries. Trust me I worry about no woman comming in between us and that's a fact!!!
I messaged whom ever to get this topix off of here, and I hope it is soon.

yesterday afternoon on the 22nd i seen a house on fire at the end of Dan Ridge. All of the new comers thats been on for a couple of years were the only ones i seen goin into the house and where were the older ones, y they were to busy sitting down on the fire trucks having one of their pow wows. Why dont they suit up and go in with these new ones to show them stuff to look for. For the newcomers praise to you all, as for the fire officers i seen standing around "PSSSSHHH".

I live few miles from that location. I don't think they send a new firefighter in a burning home. And on scanner I heard few older ones were fighting it.I don't know.

I am on the dept. and thats all they do on every fire scene. Take chris for example he came in as a paramedic in the ambulance and just came up there barking orders to do this or do that but he's to busy keepin his nose up the montgomery co. boys rear ends.

Why are you bringing the Montgomery Co. guys in this, are you jealous that they know what they are doing and half of the time you guys don't!! It gets to me that you would bring another County into this when they have nothing to do with Chris coming up there barking orders or whatever. You need to take that up with him, or whomever your chief is and leave the Mt.Sterling guys out of it. I know a couple of guys on both Dept's, and I think that you guys are pretty good guys, your putting your lives and families on the line everyday. I know that sometimes both counties help each other out for mutual aide too, so why would you want to talk bad about anyone, especially your brothers. You may be from different depts, but you are all here to protect and serve isn't that correct!

Well, where do I start? I was one of the first guys through the door at the fire you speak of!we had several older members (which are officers)at the scene!the officers job is to look out for the younger guys. thats why we have training!I look up to and respect every officer that we have!Chris mays is one of the biggest assets that this county has seen! We also have one of the best volunteer fire dept.in this area. And to the firefighter that is talking shit, this is suppose to be a BROTHERHOOD!! If you are not part of the brotherhood than turn ur shit in and get the hell out of this line of work! I do agree charles did do a fine job as chief. the current chief is doing a fine job as well!!!! Don't mean to piss anybody off but you people are pathetic,we risk our lives for this county and this is the thanks we get?

If a fire fighter feels that way about his officers, he can feel that way. That is his own opinion. There is nobody that can take that away from who ever it is. Maybe it was on his/her conscience so much that they had to get it off. I know how they feel sometimes. My boss, which is like my officer, does many things that I don't agree on, do I vent on other people? Yes, I do. Why? Because after an extent it gets to the point I am past aggrevation. Is there a problem with telling others my opinion, absolutely not. What can my boss do to me for having an opinion? She can dislike me extremely, but can she fire me? Not without a lawsuit because I am positive that the Constitution protects my right as a citizen to my own opinion and NO ONE can take that away from me or there will be a rough road to pay. I don't care if you guys are a "brotherhood", if a fire fighter has to feel that way about his own brotherhood, let him. I am sure that MCFD is volunteer, evidently he enjoys helping others, or he wouldn't do it. What's more important, the fact of saving others lives? or holding personal grudges against one another that wouldn't affect one's duty performance? I don't know who the fire fighter is, but whoever you are, don't let anyone change your opinion. Just try to not worry about the "officers" and do your job and think about the difference you are making in someone's life. I wish you the best of luck and I hope things become better.
