My grandparents visited one of those places down there. They said They have a statue of the devil in the basement. What is this all about. I have no reason to doubt my grandparents. Has anyone else heard of this? Was there a cult or something involved with this area?
This was definately the Las Vegas of the Midwest. Lots of prostitution, drinking during the prohibition times and people were drawn to the "dark side". The Devil was very appropriate for this area. I believe there were a lot of white robes in this area also.

The place is as haunted as they come. Its eiry to have this out in the middle of hillbillie heaven. It's like putting a piece of chocolate in a cow pie. The chocolate looks good, but I think I will pass. The sulfer water stinks, strange how people were drawn to it.
What exactly is "eiry"? Also, it's sulphur or sulfur not "sulfer"... You call it "hillbillie heaven." Sounds to me like you fit in perfectly.

Sounds to me like the people that work there will be very happy if you choose not to come back. I bet you griped about everything the whole time you were there and tried to get everything for free as a result of your complaints. People who work in hotels have a name for people like you. "Return guests" See you next week when you go through the whole song and dance again.

You have the whole thing wrong. They do have a devil there but he is the GM at the hotel. The guy who casts a shadow in which his bald head resembles a giant penis.
