We will be there and hoping we can get thru the Indiana crowd that I am sure will be there. Good Luck and it sure sounds like fun.

Not a gambler myself, but I will check it out since I live nearby.

I'd hate trying to fight the crowd in there today. All the roads around here are 2 lanes only.

There is a very, very good article about the history of the Resorts and Casinos in the "Springs Valley" in this month's Indianapolis Monthly Magazine. For anyone who has an interest in the history of the area, it is a most read.

My best wishes to all of those who live "down home" and much success in this venture. The opportunity has been a long time coming.

Don't forget there's a big high school football game in town tonight. Traffic will be terrible.

Can only imagine what kind of "audit" the gaming commission performed as noted in the article. What with a horde of political patronage hiree forced upon the casino it's a wonder the place will succeed. Whereas the "state" will extort its monies right off the top.

I am a proud to say my 22 year old daughter has a job in the new casino. She recently got married and lives in Jasper, so it is just a short drive for her. The bad thing is the 1 hr. time difference between Dubois and Orange counties...hopefully the State can rectify this before too long. But I can't wait to see the renovation to French Lick and the new casino. Good Luck to everyone there and those playing!!

Sorry, but I'm saving my money rather than give it to a bunch of rich guys. I just don't see the fun in throwing away hard-earned money in a casino.

Cook's OCH is such a scam. It will be years before anything goes to the locals. Should be C(r)ook's for steeling the good will of Orange Co.

Carl may wake up. I'll bet OCH converts to a FOR profit after the old man dies.
