How about an outside skating/fountain park? Similar to the fountain at Kings Island.

I think the casino needs to subsidise the train from Jasper to French Lick so it could make a trip in the morning and maybe bring French Lick people to Jasper and them return them back to French Lick and then returning people to Jasper in the evening at at resonable price.

I'm sure a Walmart will help. Let the economy pick back up and there will be more progress, I'm sure.

What the two towns really need is to merge the police and fire protection....it would save the taxpayers money...it is a shame that you and I pay for the pride of the politicians who refuse to work together....would save 3-400 thousand dollars a year.

The casino needs to revive a real poker room. They had a great little room in the beginning but ruined it by putting in automated machines in a loud corner of the casino. They put gold leaf everywhere to "do things the right way" and create a destination resort but then they skimped on the poker area. Bad choice... I'll head down to Louisville instead.

I totally agree. Many towns/communities need to rethink and regroup their entire political/unionized employees. As to Wal Mart - Sure, if you want it to look like every other trashy town they have destroyed. French Lick and Jasper need to built upon the quaint and historical aspects of the area and definitely advertise in far off places. With Wally's you'll run out any small, unique businesses and start to look like every other burg out there.

Who cares
La Grange Park, IL

First of all it should be worded "What do French Lick and West Baden Springs need" Not "What does" Secondly, I would suggest they need a wrecking ball to knock down the two hotels. After they are gone someone should cap those god awful sulphur springs. Finally, they should elect Todd Marshall Grand Poo Ba and Holiday Cheermeister. He should meet and greet people at Huck's all day and sign autographs for his fans.

French Lick needs to open a brothel so the women there have something to do besides their cousins and brothers.

There are plenty of activities for the teenagers. When the French Lick girls aren't making sweet love to there daddies or brothers, they can go cow tipping or they can whittle and whistle. It kept Andy Taylor and Barney Fife busy.
