The tyranny has been happening for too long with the unfair treatment of employees at French Lick properties. We need to stand together as one and show Cook we are not taking the disrespect and low pay any more! The only way to make sure our call is heard loud and clear is to have everyone band together and not work the Cook banquet. This way our statement is heard and it does not hurt any of our guests that we treasure so highly. Far to long we have been the slaves of Cook Medical and never had a opportunity to participate in the banquet other than serving them.

AMEN good luck getting people to stick together if you work there you ought to know by now everyone agrees with you until its time to speak up, then they shut-up, they talk the talk but dont have the ass to back it up.... GOOD LUCK

it is bad when u have asupervisor that says if have aproblem theres nothing they can do about it take it the mananger then u r told they dont want to hear it r dont even go there he has been reported for his drinking supervisor name in paper for drinking said not to be around alchol but works as bar keep go figure

Fight the power! Good people can't be held down. The place isn't Iraq, Libya, or Afghanistan. It might be ruled by a "dick"tator but the masses can make a change. When you have an issue about working conditions take it to HR, when it's not resolved to your satisfaction take it to the top person in Cook Group's HR. When it still isn't taken care of take it to Carl or Steve. They are both men of principle much like Mr. Cook. When all channels have failed call a lawyer. Just remember, document everything. Keep a notebook with dates, times, locations, names, and witnesses. The courts don't respond to emotion, they want facts.

Congratulations on your .30 hourly pay increase. That means an extra $624 a year in your pocket. To compare apples and oranges that would buy almost three bottles of the wine Bozo ordered and attempted to pay for on the tax payers tab. So... if you are all feeling warm and fuzzy about your new found riches buy Bozo a bottle of Opus One wine. I hear he enjoys it. I wonder what kind of raise he got? no, he probably sacrificed his in order to take care of his loyal servants.

I couldnt agree with you more, I guess people have just gotten used to being treated poorly or they have gotten rid of the ones that had a backbone an would stand up for their rights as a person an not the dirt on the floor

Still dumbfounded how alzheimers Steve can continue to pay ridiculous sums of money to pieces of trash like Bozo, Chris, Dale, and Brian. It is inane that what started out as The Broadmoor of the midwest has turned into a McDonald's play land. Bozo's cast a shadow in which his head looks like a giant penis. Chris is a nose picking drunkard that looks like the guy on the TV show Alf. Brian just rides the coattails while drowning in a sea of his own stupidity. Gotta love it. Hey Chris why don't you pay your tab in the pro shop instead of returning all that stuff? Kinda screwing the goose that laid the golden egg aren't you. But hell, as long as no one is looking at those admin comps you can say it was in an effort to "build relationships". That's what Bozo does to, he just does it with food and booze instead of Pings and Callaways. It's better than getting a write up in the Evansville paper for putting bottles of Opus One wine on the taxpayers tab.

Why does Jerry Fues get $250,000 from the OCDC for his paint ball and miniature golf place? This guy has millions. I thought the OCDC was for people who could not get help for projects any place else. OCDC is turning down other great projects but they give there old buddy this kind of money while turning others away. Can someone explain that for me please.

sure he is in with the French Lick Mob, its just kind of like the ol days, only now they are sneeky cowards an back then they would just shoot you, French Lick hasnt changed much, they still have alot of crooks running the town, just lining their pockets at the expense of the employees that need a paycheck, why dont they give them a little bonus like the COOK GROUP gets

OCDC turning down down projects??? Can you elaborate on this? Specifically? I would be very interested in knowing. I heard they funded a sewer project in Orleans, Airport work in Paoli, A young man who put in a paintball experience somewhere near French Lick....what have they turned down?

It would be a real shame if all the money, hard work and time invested in pumping some life into the valley through these two grand hotels were to fail because of inferior management

Typical I guess, lots of finger pointing and accusations, no ANSWERS. The only turndown I know of is the French Lick Downtown rehab at the old dime store building. I guess they didn't think it was worthwhile...sure looks good though.

to the comment on how do they pay people to work there, they pay min. wage for most jobs, under min. wage for some that depend on tips, that inculdes waitress slots , table games

Joe V. basically lives at the hotel during the week. When His family comes in his room is to be VIP status and MR.HUMPHREY worries more about how his room looks then any paying guest that is VIP, he goes over Joe's room with a fine tooth comb but never checks any other vip room.

The board of directors has voted Joe V. out 3 times, in an attempt to get rid of him, but Steve F. won't let him go. since Mr.cook passed away, Mrs.cook and Carl really only mess with West Baden Dome. They are never around the resort. so joe has full power.
