What is up with Maroma's.

Has anyone else eaten there recently and has had poor service. I think the owners need an eye opener.

Since changing the name & owners, Maroma's (formerly Carmona's) has really made a change.

Now when you go in, you might have to wait several minutes before anyone greets you & takes you to your seat. We have stood in line & watched as several employees looked right at us & didn't offer to assist us at all.

We have noticed that the food has changed too. It's not as good as it once was.

Complaining does no good since no customer wants to risk a "payback" from pissed off staff who don't like complainers.

Maybe the Woody's should have stayed in the lumber business instead of buying T&L Hot Dogs & Carmona's.

I have always had pretty good service but the prices have raised a lot. I can go to the Road House in Clarksburg a lot cheaper than eating a Maroma's now

I think it's horrible the prices, the service, the food everything!! The one down by Edna's is by far better in every aspect!!

Yes the place isnt any good and the people that run it are very snotty and rude they think there better then every one else. I have been there twice and I wont go back service is very poor the food isnt worth the price you pay and help is unbeliveable. T@L I do go too alot. The girls are friendly and talk and joke round with you. At least you get a thank you when you are waited on . One lady that used to work there but doesnt anymore was very nice and friendly sure miss her .

I was just told today if I was going to eat there, don't eat the salsa, guacamole, or chicken, and be careful of the shrimp. So basically don't eat there. I haven't eaten there in a while and guess I won't go back there. Buckhannon needs a decent place to get a meal, not fast food.

I was in there today and the girl that seated us was just about as friendly as a rock! our food was a little messed up but tasted good. seems the employees are more interested in socializing with each other, checking their hair in the mirror that's behind the bar,etc. and this was going on when the owner himself was in there eating at the bar. it will never be the same as when Rose and Sal had it and the Woody's will never be able to fill their shoes, they don't know "FRIENDLY" and when they do try to be friendly it's fake. Hopefully there will be a time when Rose and Sal can open another restuarant here.

Most of the waitresses are stuck up college college kids from Wesleyan. I agree about them spending more time socializing in the kitchen amongst themselves. The Woodys are just a family on their high horse because of their money.

I think Maromas has the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten. Their Fajitas look like dog food!!! too greasy and salty for me. Machoacan is better, but still not great.I guess Im just spoiled from living in big cities and having access to better food. Maybe one day Buckhannon will get a good restuarant.

I have been to Mexico and all over the South West ..... That is why I can honestly say.....THE FOOD AT MAROMAS SUXXXXXXXXXXXX !!!!!!!!! If you think the food is good.....Then eat all you want......So testy!!!!! You may need to venture out of the area to get the idea what real Mexican food taste like....BECAUSE MAROMAS DOES SUCK!!!!! I eat there all the time and the food is great! If you go there on a friday or saturday night they are slammed and then yes there is a wait but thats to be expected when the place has 200 people in it! LOL! Go to any busy restaurant during there peek hours and you will have to wait. You morons amaze me! I ate there when rose and sal owned it and it was terrible! Rose was the fakest person i have ever met! She had no idea how to run a restaurant, Maybe thats why her morgantown restaurant is doing terrible!

it would not do any good to complain either cause i have and all i get is sorry it'll be better next time well i am not gonna spend 30 bucks to not get what i paid for again

I still have a gift certificate and won't use it cause the last time I went there, chicken was chewy and the rice was obviously left over from the day before (I was there just before noon). Michoacans food is great, the food, wait staff, and fast service is great. They must have taken the cooks from carmonas.
