Releasing prisoners with lesser non violent charges early in order to stay within the jails capacity is not a bad idea but we must remember that the criminal population is increasing and we have to increase our jail capacities to keep up with it. The no-shows who are released early must do a much stiffer sentence when caught and it is imperative that we have bigger jails to accomodate a growing population.
