Fans mourn as venerable soap 'Guiding Light' goes dark

2, 2009. After seventy two years the soap opera is going off the air. Nunes has been watching the show since the very beginning and Thorsen has been watching all her life.

I think the guiding light should be put back on tv. if not in daytime then at night
i dont see why it should have been taken off in the frist place.it was a good program
and i enjoyed it i recorded it when i could not watch it the talk is it's a shame it's no longer
on the air this will hurt tv's soap rateing very bad.

The Otalia storyline remains undone. It should have been the saving grace, yet those in charge made no effort to push it to the highest level it could have reached.
A terribe letdown!
