Hello if anyone has seen or heard from Mike Schallert aka Mexican Mike or his fiance' Afton Ferris please contact the FBI or Illinois State Police. These two are considered armed and dangerous. They are wanted in connection with a double homicide. Two young woman was found shot to death Monday afternoon inside their home. Michael Schallert and Afton Ferris are now in police custody. They were located in Colorado and were apprehended without a fight.

I used to work directly with Afton. She always told me that she wanted to be a contract killer - I suppose she finally decided to persue that. Shame, she was a very nice girl.

Yeah, she sounds like a nice girl to me. NOT!

At one point last summer these two lived in Lander, WY with my dad and his girlfriend for close to 5 months. I asked Afton where she was from and when she said nowhere, she had lived in group homes for the last several years, flags were raised. I don't know why my dad decided to be a halfway house for them, but they caused no harm and were quite polite. Goes to show you never know. Thank our lord that he was saved from a horror that these folks in Illinois have had to endure. I send my prayers to the family members who are hurting, and for the two women who lost their lives to Mike & Afton, two young people who were once welcomed off the streets only to turn around and exact revenge because they were asked to leave. Sad...
