The entire stretch of track from the Centerville train station west to the 880 should be a "quite zone". The entire length has 2 sets of tracks and about 4 crossings. I would say that there is an average of about 1 train per hour passing through that section. It does seem that the Amtrak and ACE trains seem to have quiter horns. The freight trains seem to be the loudest.

I have not slept a single night peacefully since i moved to Centerville neighborhood of Fremont because of train horns. City council is not moving the Quite Zone fast enough . More than 10000 units in Fremont are affected by this. I don;t see good leadership at the council. Amtrak also makes lot of noise. The honking has to stop.

Those train engineers abuse the rule of using the horn more than 2 times in 20 seconds which is illegal in other states. Sometimes they pull the cord for 10 seconds at a time. Train horn systems are so archaic and make too much noise pollution.
Im no where near the tracks and it can be heard all the way down to Central Park.

It has been 5 months since money was allocated for the quiet zones yet nothing has been implemented. Trains are still blowing at all hours of the day. What are they doing with this money?

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Taurus

Catch up with the chores today, especially if you've got a long list of them and you want to get through them all before Christmas. You're feeling nicely efficient without wanting to work yourself into the ground, so carry on at a steady pace. A few well-chosen words in a certain person's ear will be more effective than a lengthy conversation at other times.
