i say impeach the dumb mayor and most of the other problems will take care of their self. maybe we can teach ol bob to read and maybe help him catch a clue if he can get a big enough glove.how can slickhead write any citations?after being caught red handed putting expired arkansas tags on the durango at mc donalds in monett before going on his venture to the south.who really stands up for this? never mind the mayor,and his wife,and lets not forget ol clueless bob lol what a joke.just amazing when the city has a call ol slick isnt around and the county has to respond.glad we are spending our money wisely lol pathetic

man here we are less than 24 hrs later.yet another call same as last night slickhead cant respond.wonder if the co called over at the mayors and had him to respond from there? now we have some new gomer trying out lol poor guy probably was ok till chief showed him how to run expired out of state tags on a city vehicle. lol and got permission from ol bob on the council he ran expired plates for months. seems to be a pattern there.ask the city attorney he wont lie to you.

The part time guy you all are talking aout did resing his position there. He was tired of all the Bull crap what was going on and didn't want to be part of a Police Department and city that doesn't obey the laws them selves. I saw him the officer out back of the police department friday evening getting his stuff from his car. Did people out there know that this same officer used his own money to put lights inside his patrol ar, so he would not get ran over out there, talk about a city and chief helping his officer. I wish Officer Smith, "Who was the guy out there", for all his hard work he did is verona, and I am glad that he saw how screwed up the mayor and Chief are out there. if you thank thas bad i live in newton co. in between neosho and joplin. alittle over a year ago my home was broke into by sme people and they took about 10,000.00$ werth of stuff. i called and made 6 reports! i even went as far as doing my own investiation. i got one person(one of my own neighbors) fess up and tell my detective want had happen. this person and many others came over to my house and just took what they wanted. did she go to jail? NO! did see get a ticket? NO! did anything happen? NOT YET! were's my justice? but, my brother in law has a girl friend who is a real
B*(^H and she has him put in jail with the wave of a hat with just one lie! so is this what i pay taxes for?

It is depressing to see that police dept go down in the like it was, there was a officer there a few months ago I met and he was very professinal and know what he was talking about, can anyone tell me if he did leave there or not. I have heard from alot of people that seemed really upset that he did leave. I hope not if he did, sounds like he left for a reason, ol slick in a dick

Can anyone tell me how to get in touch with the Verona mayor and/or council members? I've looked for websites for the city. I'm wanting to move back to Missouri where I was a police officer for several years in Lawrence County. Can anyone tell me if Verona is looking to hire a dedicated police officer? Any information would be appreciated.

I have read the post{s) and it sounds as though the people want a change, thats why I asked for information. Maybe the citizens of Verona want someone who won't be afraid to take a stand and try to make things better for "their" community. As far as your comment that I'm a jackass well I could sink to your level of intelligence and fire off a "witty" comeback also, but I'm more interested in doing something worthwhile and challenging. Well as you can tell they will not fire the chief they have now. They think he is god and well we the people here have tired to get him fired and him and the mayor are so close it is crazy. I would love to see someone else there watching over my mother but the town is going no where and never will, she is planning on moving the firstof the year. The chief there now is a crook and always will be, as long as the mayor is there. I understand where the guy is coming from the post before urs, just read this whole post and you will understand. If you are working for the city you cant work for the county at the same time. Unless you start the stop in the city. If the stop is started if the county while working for the city IT IS not legel.

So have a hay day with them, then can write you through city and you pay a small fine or they can write you through county which is state court, have fun with that.
