i don't know everyone but two died and they were friends of my little sister and the other one was in ICU. they just said she is stable. If anyone has anymore information about the wreck please let me know I don't know anything besides what happened to my sisters friends.

no seatbelts, 330am they missed a little curve in the road the guy driving over corrected they hit a culvert drivers side and continued to hit several other objects . which is unkown at this time

Please keep the families of Austin Bailey, Mattie Bishop, and Ashley Kelley in your prayers. These three Danbury students were involved in a wreck this morning at around 3:30. Austin and Mattie have passed away and Ashley had to be life flighted to Memorial Hermann.

I still can't believe this. I have known Mattie for years. May God's love bring comfort to all the families involved.
Does anyone have knowledge of the funeral home Mattie is at or of any arrangements?

They were drivin home from an apartment and yes they were goin a lil fast. The car basically began to fall apart. Earlier mattie had said the wheels didn't feel right. Something to that extent. Austin was driving and a tire blew out or something because sparks were flying the car was losong control and the car was falling apart. The driver was NOT fishtailin the car before that. The car somehow broke in half. Ashley was ejected and noone could find her till the firetruck got there. Mattie lived for only a very brief moment after the crash, she was seatbelted in the car and was NOT ejected. Austin was ejected and believed to have passed away instantly. It is a very sad sad thing that happened. I could not even imagine dealing with such a loss. Everything I have said here is fact. As u can tell it differs from what the press released. Reckless driving did not play as big of a part as they are making it to believe. My those young adults rest in peace and god watch over their family and anyone who was deeply effected by this tragedy.

We've lost two of our town's children. I heard the car was going over 100mph, Austin was driving and Mattie, who owned the car, was told it "still needed a lot of work"... "take it easy and keep it just around town". Wish she had been told no, and not given the car until it was ready to hot rod. Maybe that would have made a difference but who knows with where and how they hit.... If they were going over 100mph, it's hard to believe anyone might not have had that slight drift off the road that happened to clip the short flat faced concrete wall over the Russel's driveway culvert at the road's edge.
I think this was a slight error in judgement or lack of driving skill that happened at exactly the wrong location.... a few more feet and he may have pulled it back on the road without hitting a solid unmovable surface.

Mattie's mom is my husband's cousin...I believe that the viewing and visitation will be Thursday and the funeral service Friday at Danbury High School for both Mattie and her friend. Not sure of times. Hope that helps.

Thank you Sara and Danielle. I understand that Austin and Mattie will be viewed at Palm's Funeral Home. This is all still a fog. Regardless of how or why it happened it's still very, very sad that 2 young adults had to leave us so soon. I haven't heard any word about the other gal who's in the hospital. I do hope she is recovering.

Hi, I am Ashley's aunt (Step-aunt). Information on Ashley: She is still in the Suddon Trauma ICU unit at the hospital, and their family needs prayers for strength for her to get better and be able to be weaned off her respirator (at this time she is not). Her condition is stable at this time, but still not very good. She sustained major injuries, and the doctors are watching her very carefully. She has had to undergo at least one surgery.

Her family is very supportive of the other two, and are sorrowing for their families' loss, as well as trying to keep strength for Ashley and her condition. Her family will most likely also be attending the mass, but will be tender in all respects. Please pray for all involved.

For those of you who lost friends or classmates in this accident, we pray for your strength as well. This is an incredibly hard and trying time for all of you, and we pray for your strength and support in becoming a "family" for each other -- to hold each other up as much as you can.

Ashley needs your strength and power of prayer at this time.

Right now from what I no they put her to sleep and she has not woken up. She is stable and they do not know when she will wake up. My sister was there and saw everything happen. She has been up at the hospital to visit her often. I will let my sister kno for you. Gd luck and stay safe.

PEOPLE THEY WERE NOT SPEEDING! AND THEY WERE NOT DRIVING RECKLESSLY! IT WAS THE CAR THAT BASICALLY BEGAN TO FALL APART. MY SISTER WITNESSED IT HAPPEN. SHE IS EXTREMLY UPSET ABOUT EVERYTHING. AND HOW THE PRESS IS SAYING THEY WERE SPEEDING AND NOONE HAD THEIR SEAT BELTS. THE PRESS HAS A LOT OF INFORMATION WRONG AND THEY ARE MAKING IT LOOK AS IFF IT WAS THE KIDS FAULT. IT WASN'T. IT WAS FAULTY WORK FROM A MACHANIC. May god except and love austin and mattie and may they watch over ashley as she recovers.
