Harbor Seal Joins Crowds On South Freeport Docks
An unusual visitor has joined the crowds using the docks along the canal in South Freeport -- a harbor seal.
Locals say the seal, which they've named Sammy, popped out of the water and onto the dock along South Long Beach Avenue late Saturday afternoon. He went back into the water from time to time, but looked comfortable lounging on the deck.
Wildlife experts say it doesn't look like anything is wrong, but warned people to stay away from the animal. Read more
