I drove my son and daughter to school today. My son attends the Sr. High school, and my daughter attends the Jr. High school. I believe that the people who also drop their children off should observe some manners. Empire street is equipped with curbs on both sides. These are for parking, and stopping for any reason. For example, letting someone out of the vechicle. It is a very time consuming process that 80-90% of the cars stop at the cross walk and let their children out. When you are ten cars deep and 8 of these cars stop, and let out passengers it is very time consuming thing. All it takes is a slight turn of the wheel at the proper time to pull to the curb, and this could be a pleasant experience for everyone. Also it would be safer for all. But, I have also noticed that this happens quite abit all over town. People just stop wherever for whatever. If you wish to have a conversation, pull over and get out of the line of traffic.
I believe that their are enough bad drivers out there that if we could actually start writing simple tickets for these infractions. The city could use the money. And it would make traveling through some areas in OUR city more pleasant. Especailly for the people who actually have some place to be.
Thanks for your time,
Just trying to get around
