Why is it I have to cut back on everything then they turn around and increase taxes and fees so I end up not saving anything?

They spend money like a drunken sailor.

They keep saying its a minimal increase. You add up all the "minimal" increases and your talking about some serious money.

This library is a joke. If they were going to blow all that money on a monstrosity, the least they could have done was put solar panels on it.
