I think our police officers here in bicknell do their job.They have always been there for me if ever i needed them.

I was recently ata bar in Bicknell where police showed up. I think they did a great job

I think they are doing the best they can, the cops these days care more about talking loud & wanting people to be scared of them instead of the POLICE MEN that was in our town when I grew up. They would speak to you, they are respectful & also have a job to do but treat you like a human.
Cops lack that all over anymore.

I think the bicknell police do a fine job.A certain police officer put his life on the line during an accident to save the life of another.How many officers would go to that extreme?That's right,none other than one of bicknell's finest,officer stewart.They are very helpful in time of need.whether it be a burglar,a thief,information,domestic battery.they come to your every call.

for the most part our bicknell police officers are doing their part. we have a few that are just trying to look good. Then the real ones are their to fix the community they live in. As always stewart himself has been their for the people of all ages. It a shame the city can't afford better wages and benefits fitting the officers that are working for them.

There are a few of the officers that really do their jobs well. If there should be a complaint it should be about how the dispatchers seem to think they can over-ride the officers!! Many times calls have been made for reasons that need an officer to respond and all I got was bull shi** from tom as to how he thinks he runs the dept. heck last time i heard he was just desk help so who is he to make any decisions???

Another thing that really ticks me off is that with all the unregistered sex offenders that live here in our town. I mean come on ppl i have 2 girls myself and we live next door to several ppl that came from california and don't think that it's a big deal here in Indiana to have to reregister on the offenders list,another young man has 4 warrants from 4 different states and the other is in probation violation and fled the state...oh by the way he was found guilty for molesting a 15 yr old girl several times and he is 19. What is a person to do to get help on this crap? Gee maybe that is why everyday we see stories on the news about so many innocent little girls that come up missing or has been taken or even killed! As a strong community i feel we all need to get the correct facts on these bums and if true send them back to where they came from let's not let them bring our town down with their stupidity!!!

I agree with westside girl. That Tom at the bpd thinks he knows it all. You can't call up there and get any help, he is always butting in and doesn't get you the help you need. They need to get rid of him and a few others there.

Rumor has it that the dispatchers are making just a little less than our local police officers, now tell me that isn't some bull...they are not the one's that risk their lives as do some of our finest and outstanding officers do!! Maybe that is where we need to fill out an application for the dispatch position.

Recently I called the Bicknell Police Department to make a complaint. The dispatcher imformed me they were to busy to handle the problem, then she hung up on me. Pretty rude, since as a tax payer I help pay her salary.
