Not having seen any history or report, I think you will find this chap has a childhood diagnosis of Aspergers Syndrome. Rest assured, he has seen counselors in his often stormy childhoos. Very smart in school, probably socially awkward with few close friends, not friendly but not rude, and singular, if not linear in thought. He is 24 years old. It was trendy and stylish 15-20 years ago to put "odd" fellows in with the autistic spectrum. Dahmer was, the Unibomber was, that very strange lad from West Virginia was. Having Aspergers does not make you more prone to violence, or as Freud reported,"A destiny of ones anatomy..." All it means is these people have proclivities like all the rest of us do. You are no angel, I am certainly no angel, they are not angels. We all are firmly on the ground, not dancing on the head of a seamtress' needle.

He had issues now has problems. what i want to know is tear gas and bullett proof vests are illegal, why did he use them? if he got those items, he would get guns if gun control. where did he get illegal tear gas and bulett prrof vests?

Prayers and sympathy to all the victims and their families. Yet another tragic black mark on our nation. It will be hard for survivorsto accept that there is no logic to this to be found, as illogical people think and act in an entirly different mindset than most of us do.

Clarice, you really need to educate yourself more about autism and aspergers before you start making such broad and stereotype statements, ignorance is not a pretty coat to wear.

rest assured he will be found to be mentally unstable and the taxpayers will be paying for his rehabilitation so he can be a productive member of society , some day.You can absolutely get away w/ murder in this beloved country of ours which is why the USA far exceeds any other nation in violent crimes.

You, obviously would be physically to fit your HEAD through the eye of a "seamstress' needle", being as narrow minded as to say that this person most likely is in the austistic spectrum/having Aspergers!! You need to be educated before you make remarks such as those.

Yes the taxpayers will pay and that is because the United States of America does not get to the root of the problem (mental illness) which is most likely his problem. we put less money into the study and treatment of mental illness and then blame the person for not getting treatment. There is more money put into research and treatment that actually afflicts less people then mental illness does.

He knew how to booby-trap his apt. and was going to college for neurosciences.If our laws were more severe and would put the fear of God in people they would certainly think twice before committing such a haneous crime.Im sure the victim's families would disagree w/ you and that bullshit research. Don't be so sure of that. If this happened in NY State, you are correct. No death penalty here. In Colorado there is a death penalty.I'm not a betting person, but I would bet he gets lethal injection. I'm sure they will prolong it with appeals as any case, but in due time his family can claim the body.
