if the water systems is so good in fredonia, why then, just a few short years ago, was fredonia buying water on a daily basis from dunkirk. I think because the pond that supplies fredonia water was dry! I'm an outsider to the fire scene but it seems to me that these fires were two different fire entirely, there was much more equipment at the dunkirk fire and a much larger building. I was present at both fires.
I admit I'm from dunkirk but it made me feel good to hear people in the crowd at the fredonia fire, who seemed to be somewhat informed on what was going on, say " men from dunkirk were going in from the back, they will put it out" and they did! I watched it happen. It seems to me that two close communities should get along better!
You are such a joke, an outsider my ass! What another local 616 heard from, the fire was put out from all involved, a majority of the firefighting was done from the front. How would anyone in the crowd know that men from Dunkirk were going in from the back, when the crowd was out front and you could not see who was out back!! And how would anyone in the crowd be informed on anything? Dunkirk did not put out the fire! What about the masonic lodge fire, the fire was out back but all the "Dunkirk men" were out front doing nothing while it raged in the back. The fire potential was great in Fredonia but a good effort stopped it, Dunkirk helped, but they did not put it out. You are such an ass! Carriage house and Fredonia State have activated methods to conserve water, there also was a time when Dunkirk has bought water from Fredonia, it goes both ways. Fredonia also has made improvements to its pond and water delivery, Dunkirk has done nothing. I'll drink the pond water any day over that crappy Lake Erie water. By the way Fredonia's CRAP plant discharge is just up Lake from Dunkirk's water intake, and the Lake flows what way!!!! Like I said another Dunkirk paid guy heard from, just trying to cause problems. Dunkirk fire lives in a big glass house!

This statement is such a huge set up! "The men from Dunkirk" Ha ha ha ha makes me laugh. "People that are in the crowd that are informed on whats going on" Ha ha ha ha makes me laugh again! Why would people in the crowd be informed at all about fire-ground operations and how would they know who was in back? There were Fredonia firemen in back also. You outsider are the worlds biggest ass! This wouldn't be a certain member of local 616 who has been shooting his mouth off now would it, the same person that the rest of local 616 wants to get rid of? The Fredonia Fire Chief was in charge and every action taken was at his order. For your info the use of Fredonia's tower truck pretty much put the fire out just like it put Dunkirk's fire out also, those that are "informed" know this. Who ever you are, are you just trying to cause problems? Yes you are!!! jackass!!!!!!!!!

I bet this is from some Politician that thinks he knows everything... Always looking to stir up some crap to turn people against each other... Nothing like talking trash about the people that might someday have to save your life.... Leave the firefighting comments to yourselves because all of this talk is nonsense... take your glass house and shove it up your ass!!! Dunkirk and Fredonia always work good with each other and always will.. Remember that the next time....

I agree with some of what you said, but there has been some talk from a certain Dunkirk paid man that sounds an awful lot like what has been posted. This certain person does live in a glass house, so you can pull it back out of your ass! For the most part Dunkirk and Fredonia do work well together, but Dunkirk is against Volunteers, they have driven most out, even the mayor refers to his fully paid department, Fredonia is mostly Volunteer. All Dunkirk has on Duty is drivers only, for a fire all off duty have to be called in, wonder why the budget is so high!

Sounds like you are just disgruntled... Could it be cause you didnt score high enough on the test to get hired???? Are you jealous cause someone else is putting out fire which you may have wanted to do since you were a little kid but your ignorance has ended that dream??? Seems like you have alot to say but nothing to back it up...

I was in the crowd watching the Fire in Fredonia, I did not hear anybody make any statements like that. If you were in the crowd, how could you watch people from Dunkirk in the back of the building out of view, go in to a burning building where you can't see what was going on inside and put a fire out? So now whats your real agenda here?

I am a Volunteer Fireman from a neighboring Dept. that was not called Mutual aid, but I came down to watch the fire, there was no one in the crowd that I saw had a scanner and I did not hear anyone make those ridiculous statements either. From what I saw, Fredonia and the mutual aid companies did a great job working together. I just wish my Company was called so I could have helped out. People like you are just trouble makers.

People have scanners at home and people in the crowd most assuredly had cell phones in the crowd.go figure.

Yea those people in the crowd just happened to know someone close by that has a scanner that might be able to hear the portable radios talking, and the also had the knowledge to understand what they heard even if they could have heard anything. Then they relayed the info exactly as it was said with nothing lost in between.....right.. I have been there, like I said I was in the crowd watching the fire, because my Fire company was not called in, and nobody made those idiotic statements, come on here, just sounds like someone out to cause problems!

Nice post! Too bad the jerks in here won't pay attention to it, and unfortunately there are more of them in here than not. I'm glad nobody died, and thought both departmentsd handled both fires in a professional manner with as good an outcome as you could have wished for, under the circumstances.

Nice post, did you read the stupidity of the second paragraph, this person is a jerk and troublemaker and is spreading lies,he is stirring the pot to try and create problems where there are not any! Or are one and the same?

Thats what Dunkirk and Fredonia do for each other is watch each others back and help one another out. Most of the people from Fredonia grew up in Dunkirk anyway
