Boycott of Kanab is sought

If you're planning a trip to Kanab anytime soon, don't expect any travel tips from vacation guru Arthur Frommer.

I live in Kanab and know they don't like gays, singles, childless people, dogs, cats,Democrats, non-LDS, outsiders, and liberals. The town is ruled by the Mayor and they've just passed a new ordinance forbidding more than two pets. When you get your pet tags you are agreeing to allow MONTHLY inspections of your property, to check on the pet's welfare. If you don't want them in your house, or if you bring more than two pets when you move to Kanab, you have ten days to "humanely dispose" of them, or they will do it for you. The size of your house is tightly regulated, two adults only to a bedroom, if there are more adults in a home than considered proper citizens are encouraged to report them, even the new law that there won't be any store built there larger than the store owned by Council Member Honey. The City's 'Natural Family' guide to policy says it's first responsibility is to it's homebuilder fathers and homemaker mothers. Marriage is to be only between men and women, with "quivers" full of children. Amazing! It's quite a place....to avoid!

WHAT? I plan on moving to Kanab, and working for a large animal shelter - God Willing. I have 3 cats and a dog, and the people I am staying with have four dogs! There is NO WAY IN HELL i will "humanely dispose" of my family!!!!!

Is this "rule" pertaining to the city limits only or outlying areas as well???? It is only for renters or owners of private property? This is unconstitutional at the very least! Please reply - as i am leaving today for a 3 day interview....

I lived there for a while, felt very unwelcome because I am single. I cant help if women think Im too ugly or a nerdy guy. Women should not judge a guy just because of his glasses or his facial features. Its stupid!
