Homeless census seeks deeper picture of problem

For a number of years, there's been discussion we need a summer count to get a better picture of the numbers of homeless people during the summer How many homeless people have used the food bank? How many have used the Emergency Department at the hospital? Where do they stay? How many homeless people, actually, are there in Flagstaff and Coconino County ... via Arizona Daily Sun

1,300 families,(2004)
400 plus NAU students,(2004)
194 Community College students,(2008)
484 children,(2007)
Who are homeless as defined by the McKinney-Vento Act.
