It's incomprehensible to me how someone could do this. I pray for the families of Kody, Stephanie, and Tina, and hope they may find peace someday. This story has made me be more aware of my neighbors.

The bad thing is we taxpayers have to support this low life for years while he's behind bars.

My sympathies go out to these families, it takes one sick individual to do so many terrible things. I hope he rots in jail and then burns in hell.

It seems like he must have had some help. Dragging three bodies that far into the woods, then hoisting them up to the top of the tree would have been a really tough job to do alone.

Tino's report on the noon news gave a very clear picture on where the bodies were found and how they got there. A lot of people don't understand how remote this area is and how easy it is to do something without being seen. WBNS10-TV and the other local stations - all of the reporters - has done a great job covering this horrible tragedy and I'm sure they will continue thorough coverage as this progresses.

Words can not express the sorrow and sympathy that everyone in mid-Ohio, and the country, feels not only for these families and their friends, but the many people both law enforcement and volunteers involved in the search and recovery. Prayers to all.

you wrote "If he would have kept his mouth shut, he might have gotten away with it."

That's your comment.......you worthless POS, 3 innocent people died and 13 yr old girl was abducted and now is without her mother and brother and that is your comment. Why don't you have the balls to put your name by a statement like that.

I doubt it...he is a "loner" type by descriptions of his actions from neighbors and his previous criminal history.

He had climbing gear and a pulley system ( I am assuming here) to hoist the bodies into the tree and worked alone under the cover of night...mark my words when we hear the details come forth.

This was a post from a user on the story yesterday before anybody had an idea where they could be found. I think it may be too much of a coincedence...maybe they should check his IP address and track him down. He may be involved.

In my opinion, it is sooo worth it just to make him pay. Ive never been so sure about the death penalty, but I sure as hell hope he gets it and gets it soon.

I sure hope he ends up being charged with murder! The system sure would fail the families of the victims if they didnt charge him. What a sick sick person to do such a horrible thing.

I pray that Matthew Hoffman receives a speedy trial, massive amounts of torture while in prison while waiting on the death sentence that will take no more than a couple of months to carry out. At that point may his soul burn in the pits of hell and Satan can take over from there. The piece of shi+.

Why would you say that?? Do you condone what he did??
Perhaps this is just your sad attempt at humor, but let me just say -- he will NEVER get "away with it". He WILL stand before God someday.

He should be given the highest penalty out there. Or in my eyes, life for a life four times over. other then that, i can't describe it with words.

Some people post comments on these boards just to get a reaction out of others. Sometimes it is just best to ignore those comments and keep the conversation positive.

My sympathies go out to the family of Stephanie, Kody & Tina. May they rest in piece.

Yes, because you were involved also, like Catfish Billy. What's YOUR IP address?? You are insensitive.

If that was your 13 year old sister found bound and gagged in his basement, if amy one of thos two women were your mother, daughter, sister, or aunt, and if that boy was your son, brother, or nephew, would you be posting such rubbish?
At times, I wonder what compels people like you to think up the stuff to post. I spend every waking moment of my life trying to figure out how to live my life in the most Christlike manner that I can, to be the best possible ambassador for Him that I can be.
I spend every waking moment trying to be a faithful husband, and loving dad, a loyal employee to my employer, and be a person that if anyone on this board ever saw me on the street, not knowing who I am, if they asked for my help, I would give it to them.
I try to never even come up with these kind of posts, and 99.99999% of the rest of the posters on here do the same.
Yet, despite all of the sadness, grieving, and emptiness going on as a result, this here is the best your pea-sized brain could come up with?
"Dummy" is what they call a "troll", they say unbelievably insensitive things just to get attention. They are pathetic forms of bottom-feeders and need to be ignored. To answer them or to acknowledge them in any way is to give them what they want.

I grew up a mile from this woods and years ago hunted squirrel from this very tree spot. The tree is a mile from the nearest road but is only a hundred feet away from a cultivated field that has a tractor access road. He could drive to within a hundred feet of the tree. He was a tree trimmer with climbing gear and block and tackle and could easily handle two thin women and a 11 year old boy. My opinion he picked this tree in advance... wonder if he has done this before? Neighbors and people who knew him said he spent lots of time in woods and collected leaves to adorn the walls of his house.
