He needs to clean up his officers again and do some real investigations on them also instead of trying to "cover up" their mistakes just like the boyscout thing

You really don't know Hovis. If you knew only the half of what this guy has done you would fall over
Give the guy some time
There is no cover up
Boy scouts happened before Hovis
Came to town. That was not on his watch
So try again

Hovis is the best thing to happen to Fredericktown in a LONG time.....and your grudge against a particular officer is so petty!! You would be saying the same thing about another officer if they had arrested your brother.... Fitzwater is amazing and very professional at his job. You are just an angry man.....get a life scumbag.

I highly doubt that! You think any kind of authority is some kind of threat....sounds like the apple didn't fall far from the tree!! Especially if she is crying "threatened"...give me a break! Ha ha!

I don't think authority is a threat but more officers than not abuse their authority to strong ARM people especially in civil matters where they don't have any authority. And he did threaten a 64 year old woman who is now hospitalized because of the trama inflicted by him there will be a complaint filed and pursued.

Capt Hovis has done amazing things since he has came into town. The officers he has now, I actually trust. He isn't given the credit he deserves, and he has been the only good move this town has made in years. People tend to gripe about anything and everything. Be appreciative, and look at the positive side of things for once.

The people who have issues with authority are the ones who break the laws. The people the law protect from lawbreakers see them differently. Certain people will always blame crimes on other people instead of taking accountability for their actions. This peek family needs to get off of Fredericktown gossip (which is usually never true) and get to helping make a case for their brother if he is really innocent. Posting on this site is only making you look like an inferior class of people and the court won't care two figs about what is said here about the woman. I heard someone laughing about your family in a store. Does that make you proud that you are airing your dirty laundry and an entire town is under the assumption of a lack of education for your entire family? I read a story of a man arrested for shoplifting and he claimed the cops were rough when hand cuffing him. Well if he hadn't have been shoplifting in the first place the cops wouldn't have been rough with him. I think we have the best force we have possibly ever have. If the cops are stepping on your toes then you probably have them in the wrong place.

It's just sad that everyone is quick to point their finger when you are supposed to be innocent until Proven guilty. The reason he is in jail is because $20,000 cash bond is steep so everyone assumes since he is in there he is guilty of the crime the only thing he is guilty of is being poor and trying to make his marriage to her work no matter what she did until now

The amount is so high because ITS A SERIOUS OFFENSE!!! And I'm not assuming anything, he asked my friend if her daughter coyld come play with the other kids....her daughter is the same age as the one he was innappropriate with......don't you find that odd? She still has the msgs where he was asking......those will be turned in also.

I have no idea if he did it or not, but the charge is serious. Exactly what is the purpose of you posting to this site? What are you going to accomplish by the back and forth trolling your family is doing with other people? I have no idea who you nor any of these posters are. I am just trying to point out and help you put your resources to other uses. In the time that you spent fighting with people on topix possibly you could have been reading the law for loopholes, asking his attorney if you could be rounding up character witnesses, and being there to support the family unit as a whole.

The police in this matter were just doing their jobs just like the trash hauler and the grocery store checker. If they got verbal with an old lady what was the said lady doing? Was she composed as a lady should be or did she become hysterical? Was she making a scene or distracting an officer of the law from doing his job? I have no idea as at this point it's probably all messed up in he said/she said.

One thing I always remember is that when Jeffrey Dahmer was caught his family and members of the church he went to all said "He was such a good guy." The BTK killer lived among normal citizens for decades before being caught. There are parts of people that the ones closest to us never see. And he is innocent until proven guilty, but until then on the slim chance he did it other children should be safe.

First off maybe the girl texted your daughter using his phone because she looses hers All The Time. Secondly the 64 year old only told Maria and others they couldn't enter the house because He had the keys and the doors are locked trying to protect her child's best interests (his property) which under law is a civil matter no police jurisdiction whatsoever only in a court under lawsuit doesn't matter the residence wasn't in Marias name nor were any utilities hence Not Her Residence to enter Fitzwater threatened her with various things and keep saying he's f-ING guilty and gonna fry and ultimately rude beyond belief although my mother let them in to get things they needed like beds and so forth but....later Maria cleaned everything out took property that was not hers nor Lukas' and nothing is done. If that's a good officer I'd hate to see a bad one. I have no problem with the authorities I have several friends who are officers and a father-in-law who was a deputy in Howell county for over 20 years plus and also worked for west plains police department for 20years and was also a county commissioner for awhile. I don't break the law maybe speeding I admit but I pay my tickets and don't bitch about getting them
