I will say something that is also sad in regards to Peggy Reber.
On Peggy's birthday it was also her twins birthday (DUH). This is also the day Michelle chose to advertise her book on WLBR that she said she wasn't writing. She sent her manuscript to Laura, as well as several other people. Guess WHO she DIDN'T have enough respect for, to send a copy of her manuscript to? THE REBER FAMILY.
They had to find out about it on the Laura LeBeau show as Laura was reading GRAPHIC excerpts from what Michelle's book. I don't know if Kathy heard the show that day, but what a WONDERFUL birthday gift that would have been. To turn on the radio and hear graphic details of your 14 year old twin sister's murder spewed forth by the book that never was.
How is that for pursuing justice for all the right reasons. Leave the family in the dark, don't give them the respect of a copy or even a phone call to say you are about to drop the ball, guess they didn't deserve to know anything.

Since your aunt was a dear friend of Peggy's, please have her contact Kathy Meador, who will know how to get in touch with me. I would like to hear from her (and/or you) personally. If you don't wish to do this, I will understand.

This isn't a game for me. For a while, the Peggy Reber threads were haunted by a poster named Granny and also one called GoodenQuestionMark. These two posters said some very hateful things. There has been incivility from some other posters, as well.

My main goal is to encourage people to keep the Peggy Reber threads civil. In doing this, I have become a target myself now and then, which is inevitable, I guess, when a person uses her own name. Sometimes posters directly address a remark to me -- hence, the frequent responses.

Believe me, I would love nothing better than to see this case resolved. I would also like to see remarks kept more "on point." Kathy created a thread called "Show-down at the Ho-down" for fighting and bashing. So far none of the people who have negative things to say have joined me there.

I may not know where every post is from, but I definitely know the source of this one. You consistently spell one certain word the wrong way.

Why not join me at The Show-down thread? You thought it was such a great idea at the time.

I DO think the Show-down thread is a good idea. It keeps personal battles off the Peggy Reber threads.

You and I both know you have had a personal beef with me for quite some time. Why not accept my invitation to meet with me and talk about it like two adults with a difference of opinion? Otherwise, see you at the Show-down.

My goal -- get personal arguments and incivility off the Peggy Reber threads. It seems like a worthwhile pursuit to me.

Little do you know who is really behind the words typed here. I would also like to point out that trash talk on a public forum is not harassment by communication. You are on this site willingly and have partaken in your share of "mean words". In order for it to be harassment, a particular person would have to contact you via your personal phone or e-mail. Sorry to burst your bubble. I would also like to ask you very kindly to stop doing more damning then helping with the Peggy Reber cause and the firing of Officer Kevin Snavely. If you were truly a former student of mine, one would hope I taught you to research a topic thoroughly before you speak. Check this out: Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes § 5504 —- Harassment by communication or address:
(A) A person commits the crime of harassment by communication or address when, with intent to harass, annoy, or alarm another, that person:
(1) Communicates to or about such other person any lewd, lascivious, threatening or obscene words, language, drawings or caricatures; or
(2) Communicates repeatedly in an anonymous manner;
(3) Communicates repeatedly at extremely inconvenient hours;
(4) Communicates repeatedly in a manner not covered by paragraph (2) or (3).
(F) Definitions: "Communicates." Conveys, without intent of legitimate communication or address, by written or electronic means, including telephone, electronic mail, Internet, facsimile, telex and similar transmission.

Contrary to popular opinion, the Internet is not the Wild, Wild West where a person can say anything he or she chooses.

No one has yet harassed me according to the definitions above, but one individual has been showing the kind of accelerated rage and lack of control which I felt could easily lead to true harassment. I merely issued a warning.

Since you seem to have been following this forum closely, you should have noticed that I have encouraged people to take their personal battles off the Peggy Reber threads and onto the Show-down at the Ho-down thread which was created for bashing.

Do you have a true interest in keeping the Peggy Reber threads civil and on point? Then meet me at the Shown-down thread.

If you were to try to make a report to the North Cornwall Township Police, they would laugh in your face and tell you to stay off this forum. Why would you issue a warning to those who have "accelerated rage"and "lack of control" then continually press everyone to meet you on the Show down forum to hold aggravated conversations? On top of that, you even tell one person to meet you in person! Please tell me who is harassing now? I do believe your repeated attempts at confrontation via Topix is due to you being a lonely 63 year old retiree who is bored and wishes to put a Black mark on Officer Snavely and Peggy Reber. I was trying to be civil with you and show some restraint in my previous posting, but it is clear you don't like when someone other then you speaks with intelligence Dr. Dryden. I hope that you soon see the error in manner of speaking to others. If you wish to be respected, you need to give it in return.

Let's get a couple of things straight here. Shortly after I mentioned the dormant "Mayor fires cop" thread, someone using an alias hopped over to this thread and thus revived it. I would prefer (as I gather you would, as well) that the Peggy Reber threads be focused on Peggy's case, Kevin's firing, etc. Hence, my encouragement for those who have a personal gripe with me to take it to the Show-down thread.

I will not resort to name-calling or vulgarity on that thread. I am simply trying my best to put this fight which some of you have with me in a more appropriate spot.

You can easily read back to previous posts and see that I have encouraged individuals to meet with me personally and discuss our differences like civilized adults. That is hardly harassment; in fact, it is the exact opposite.

Doris Bellanger once invited someone to meet with her to discuss their differences. Surely that was not harassment.

You say you speak for a whole town. I find that somewhat amusing, were it not such a pitiful attempt to unload your own feelings (and the feelings of a few of your friends) on an entire community.

Let me tell you a little bedtime story. Once upon a time a group of people discovered an on-line forum called "Topix." They had great fun creating aliases (even entire identities such as Grayson Taylor); occasionally firing vulgarities into cyberspace; and spending a great deal of time bragging to each other about who said what on Topix. A great deal of time.

Their comments were starting to make them look a bit silly to well-meaning individuals such as "Charity worker." They chose not to take her advice seriously.

Once in a while a comment from someone in this group would leak out that might possibly be related to an important murder case.

More than anything else, however, the group's incivility toward each other and toward anyone with an opposite opinion was making them look rather bad in the eyes of the reading public.

So they all pledged to stop this behavior. And most of them actually stopped it. But one of them in particular cannot resist taking pot shots at me. Another one has an enormous chip on her shoulder about my higher education, which is foolish, since I was myself a college dropout and only earned my various degrees later in life. For the past 20 years, I have actively supported those who decide to earn degrees when they are older.

Virtually all the people in this group are intelligent, creative individuals who could achieve anything they wish. If I put down anything, it is their childish behavior.

By suggesting that those on the Peggy Reber threads should practice civility, I have spoiled some people's fun. That is where their true resentment lies.

If individuals truly support the cause of justice for Peggy Reber, I suggest they prove it by shifting their personal arguments with me to the Show-down thread, versus continuing with the playground bully tactic of ganging up and attempting to kick me off THEIR playground.

My letters to the editor have attempted to advance the cause of justice for Peggy. A recent letter to the editor tried to bring civility to this forum.

Where I personally have said mean things, I have apologized publically to those I offended. If there are other things for which I should make amends, please point them out. If you know my age, you clearly know how to contact me, but you choose not to.
