It took over 3 weeks for our money to be put back into our account after a local business said the card #s were stolen from their office. Now we only use our card at the ATM and we have not had any further problems. My husband feels the risk is too great for the card #s to be stolen if we would use the card at any business.

As an employee of KNBT....I would like to say to the person who can't read their statement.....You must be an idiot or don't know the first thing about reconciling your account....And to the person who says that it takes 13 days for a check to clear, I would like to know what type of check you were depositing because if you go into any of our branches we have a Funds Availability policy displayed for our customers to review and I do not believe that anywhere in that policy does it say a check will be held for 13 days, so I believe you miscalculated a little. The employees of KNBT will continue to give their customers unmatched personal service no matter what the name of our bank will be.

I sure hope that you do not use that sarcasm with the customers of the bank branch you work for. Does CUSTOMER SERVICE ring a bell to you? You start off as Mary Poppins and end up like some raving lunatic.
Some people have a difficult time with todays paperwork. And if KNBT is like most banks their statements format is forever changing. This means once you get used to the format they change it and leave you even more confused. And just because it customarily does not take 13 days to clear a check does NOT mean it never happens.
Get off your high horse and stop acting superior because you work for a bank. If it wasn't for us customers, you wouldn't have that bank job that makes you think you are so superior.

It was a check from a property sale, from another bank..perfectly good!!!The manager at the Hellertown branch and I got into a semi-polite shouting match when he told me it would take 13 days to clear. Furthermore their checking accnt statements must have been created by someone hoping to graduate from the 2nd grade!!!!!!

SO LOOK AT YOUR POLICY BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH.

First I would like to apologize for the other bank employee. I am sure that person was just speaking in the heat of the moment. We do not think that any of our customers are idiots. We value our customers and try to help them with any concerns and questions that may arise. Regarding the hold issue, our hold times vary from one or two days for most checks, but can be held up to 11 business days for certain circumstances, such as, for large checks that are not in our local clearing area. Even though the check may be on hold for a longer period of time, the bank pays interest to the customer during the extended hold period. At KNBT we pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service and will continue to do through this merger and beyond.

As stated before, Board Chairman Jeff Feather proved that he is a lightweight and only a bit player on the local scene.
This local franchise was quickly sold. The Lehigh Valley loses in this transaction,

I am frustrated with KNBT, the tellers are nice and most reps are nice, but the bank manager on Highland Ave, Is nothing but plain rude. It would be nice if she took a class on how to treat and speak with customers.
