My Jr.High East son came home last week talking about a "party" that took place out off rt.100.
He said that " a bunch of kids from school have been talking about this for a few weeks. It finaly happened this past weekend. There was a bondfire,and a kid from the Sr. Hgh tried to push another kid into the fire.. Everyone was doing drugs. So-and-So down the street was there, and a bunch of other kids at school were too." I didn't listen to much, thinking this was just a rumor again, untill my 18yr. old came to the table to eat. He also shared a story..... " Man, you gotta here this one mom.. This past wknd. was a big drug thing out of town. A big bondfire and all. Some kids got into a fight, the cops were called and everything.. The part I think is funny is this...A kid got pissed a his girlfriend, and tried to throw her into the fire. He was saying that he was going to kill her for talking to some other people, and she just blew him off.. So he picked her up, and tried to throw her into the fire. Some other guys there stopped him, and beat the shit out of him.. He came back to school after being out a few days. A teacher made a comment to him about his being out, and the kid said he just over slept, then decided to stay home.. He forgot to mention that he was in jail those days.. So when we were talking about it in class, the teacher got mad at us. How stupid can the teacher be? Should we just let him get away with this? Or should we talk about it and shame the crap out of him? The thing that pisses me off the most is this asshole is a volunteer fire fighter in Boyertown." With all the crap with the teachers at the schools, is it any wonder the kids do the things they do? Anybody here anything about this from their kids?
