It's a bear. and now it's dead. Who cares, use the meat for a community feed or better yet a soup kitchen to feed truly hungry homeless PEOPLE. Will it be the last bear ever shot? NO! Wake up idiots and start caring about the starving, the homeless, the abused, the physically and mentally challenged human beings. Oh I caught a fish, clean it and ate it. OH SHAME!

If you feel so bad about being a human and not "contributing" anything to mother earth, do us all a favor and put a bullet in your own head and become fertilizer.
Well said. I hope tivo is just another troll like Mrs.R. If not she needs to get some help ASAP!

if humans were the only "animals" on this planet, we would all die. we cannot continue our dictatorship and bending mother nature to serve our will. we are the great rapists of our time. we think that we deserve some higher authority.
without that gun, no police officer would even go near a bear. we are a species of cowards, talking big behind big guns and cowering when we don't have any.
I would be happy to put you out of your misery.

course all wild animals are dangerous, but if you can get close enough to take a pic, then you can take a tranquilizer shot...after 6 days of tracking it isnt hard to get it done...youre talking about standing next to the bear...lol
Ever heard of "zoom?" It's a concept, difficult for you to grasp I realize.

You DO know that bears charge don't you? Do you think that people who are attacked by bears were simply standing next to the bear?

It takes time for a tranquilizer to take effect. Tell you what. The next time there's a situation like this why don't YOU volunteer to go shoot the animal with a dart and take the risk that it doesn't charge you.

It's real easy for you to sit in your comfy armchair and criticize police who had only moments to decide what to do (Remember, it was the DNR who were tracking this bear not the police of that town). Next time put YOUR life where your big mouth is.

Bet you won't be "LOL"ing then.
